for the covid brides ... my husband made this one because we had a minimony this past winter, but I lept right back into planning our larger spring reception ... the best man even wrote into his speech that he was "very much looking forward to our fall wedding" i thought it was funny (after everything we had been through).

"When you ask your parents for their wedding guest list" is priceless but so true, so relatable, especially because of both moms. Ours had some nerves to add 120 (both moms combined), 3 quarters of them haven't even met me nor my fiance,our dads only requested 4-5 each (and only people that have met both halfs of the couple), while ours is "only" 70 and we're paying ourselves, including the upcoming engagement party and welcome dinner...
And we said we wanted a middle-sized wedding, not one similar to Prince William's-Kate's and we also replied that our venue wasn't an NBA arena either 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️. The 120-person list was seriously cut and we decided to add 20 out of 120, only those we both met before we got engaged.

They handed me a huge list of people (though not as many as the list your moms gave you), and based on the max capacity of the venue, we could not have possibly fit all their friends, plus my fiance's parents friends (since however many we'd allow my parents to invite, we'd have to give his parents the same amount), plus both families, plus wedding party, plus our friends, so we ended up deciding to not include friends of parents at all.
