What has been your favorite and least favorite thing to plan for your wedding?

For me:
Favorite by far is the music choices
Least favorite is the decorations just because I really don't care about them

I have enjoyed planning every single detail of my wedding except one... the guest list! This has been the bane of my existence for the past year! I have an insanely huge family and cannot invite everyone, but cannot find a diplomatic way to not invite just some people.

My favorite was picking out the outfits for everyone and going dress shopping

My least favorite is the RSVP process. I am annoyed that people haven't RSVP for my minimony, I can only imagine how I will feel about the big wedding.

I agree with pp on the guest list being my least favorite so far! I have a larger family than FH and I already know that his grandma is going to make comments about how more of the guests are mine than his. When in reality 100% of their family is invited and only 30%-40% of mine is invited! (he has 14 family members and if you include my mom's and dad's side it can get close to 150 and that's just people I know the names of. So we are going to invite those that I have a closer tie to and have seen in the past couple years)

Everything else has been a lot of fun! Then again I'm a massive planner so this just satisfies the itch.

My favorite was venue tours, looking through photographer portfolios (I LOVE looking at pictures), and picking out our wedding rings.

Least favorite is the flowers (sooo stressful for me, too many choices!!) and figuring out guest list.

My Favorite Thing So Far Has Been Our Menu Tasting

My Least Favorite Is Guests Not RSVPing , They Dont Understand That If You ARENT Coming We Still Need To Know, And If You Are Coming Dont Assume We Know .

I think my favorite thing to plan has been my I do BBQ that we're doing for our rehearsal dinner. I also like texting FH everyday with the update on our countdown (9 days!!)

My least favorite has definitely been the vendors. Some have been super responsive and great, but there have been some that this home stretch of time has been like pulling teeth to get all the details ironed out

My least favorite was dealing with drama from my wedding party. My favorite was picking out items for the wedding like flowers, programs, invites, etc.

My favorite thing has definitely been the cake tasting! We had a great experience and it was sooo yummy!

My least favorite thing was during the beginning stages of planning: researching vendors, asking them for quotes, waiting for responses, comparing, getting discouraged by the amounts they charge. It was all so daunting and boring. But when I finally found my perfect vendors and booked them, it got better haha.

I've enjoyed every part of the planning process.

The only thing I have disliked... The names of my Banquet / Event Managers at the venue - 3 women all with the same first name that also happens to be my FH's ex wife's first name. I get anxiety everytime I see this first name (His ex has also been a complete .... fill in the blank, since we announced our engagement).

At first my least favorite part was finding a venue. My fiance wanted a guest list of 150 and I couldn't find anywhere I loved in our budget. But we lowered out guest count to 50ish so picking the venue became my favorite part since it opened a lot of options. The guest list would now have to be my least favorite. Besides struggling on deciding who makes the cut, I also have to listen to my grandmother complain that I'm no longer letting her invite her friends I don't know due to limited spots smh.

My favorite was planning on what I'll wear, going dress shopping I couldn't wait to see myself in a wedding dress, it made the whole thing feel more real.
My least favorite are the decorations because I just feel overwhelmed with how I want it to look.

I enjoyed every part of wedding planning! My absolute favorites were probably dress shopping, venue hunting, and cake/dessert tasting!
If I had to pick a least favorite, it would be making the guest list.

Ehh Wedding planning is fun sometimes to me but also very stressful. I think I will have more fun the day of the wedding marrying my best friend.

Worst- my bridesmaids arent helping to much and when I do group text they argue. Hurting peoples feelings OR saying no to what others want to do for my wedding. Spending all this money lol. mhm trying to plan things. Dont mix family with buiness. My mom isnt helping tomuch because she says shes not "crafty"..........IDK when its low its low when its good it good?

My groom wanted the big wedding, I wanted Vegas or Destination. I dont do well with attention on me.

I agree to. I would love to have everyone there but can't. I'm constantly looking at my guest list and crossing people off then adding them then crossing them off again. It's literally got to be the worst part, especially with covid.

    Favorite: all the DIY decorations
Least Favorite: the music. I had several songs picked out but I’m struggling picking music for the whole day and my music list is due today 😩

I hated most of it. (I love here.) Ok, less hated it and more ... it wasn't *fun*, but it wasn't *awful*, either. It was more of a means to an end. We treated it like a theatre performance, so the show was the goal. And usually the most fun.

Getting my dress was fun, because 3 friends and myself went to a sample sale, a week after I got engaged, for funsies, basically... and I walked away with a Kleinfeld dress for $199. They treated me like a life size Barbie, threw dress after dress on me, we made friends with a salesgirl who hunted down the *exact* dress I'd bookmarked... and found it. A week after I got engaged. For 90% off.

Paid for that karma, because DH came down with mono that very day.

I hated the part about dealing with family, since mine threw drama left, right, and center.

Favorite: The venue tours...sooo much fun!
Least favorite: The opinions I DID NOT ASK FOR! We're not at the RSVP stage yet but that may be added to the list lol
