Favors as placecards

Elizabeth, on April 25, 2021 at 2:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 9

For my wedding, I am doing favor placecards (I know many of you don't like favors, but we are doing them.) I want to do something like the attached picture. Does anyone know how I could get labels printed like this? Or anyway to get place card stickers to just put right on the boxes?

Those are adorable, and anyone who says they don't like macarons is lying! I'd check out Etsy for custom labels like this

It looks like the ribbon is anchored or sealed beneath the top label (place card number).

I would just use cardstock for the bottom layer and then get some of the Avery sticker label paper and print out the place card numbers on that. Then just use a paper cutter to cut to size. Or they have precut sticker circles also.
So cardstock, secure ribbon, then sticker on top.

As an aside, I don’t like macarons but I like any thing else edible. Etsy has custom stickers. What you have in the picture is 2 stickers: larger on bottom is plain to secure it all in place then the ribbon and the personalized one on top.

So if I got sticker paper I could print this on my own printer at home, I wouldn't need to go to a professional printing service?

Yes you need a large one for bottom that is blank and a smaller one for top. I would not use cardstock because it will slide off and someone will not be seated where they need to.

This is such a cool idea, I love it! I agree with themost above - cut card stock to size, wrap with ribbon, then sticker like these (linked) to connect the edges of the ribbon underneath. If you have a decent quality printer at home, you can probably completely DIY this, or check pricing somewhere like Staples.

They make little Glue Dots which are small little round dots of dried glue that feel like gel and could easily be used to hold the ribbon to the box. They’re inexpensive and can be found at any craft store or Walmart in the craft department. Then you could place one printed sticker on top with the seating info!
