Favors

I am trying to figure out how much I need to fill my guests mason jars with Hershey kisses. The gifts were going to be mason jars to use while at the venue however my venue doesn't want glasses to be used for safety. So I changed them to mason jars filled with Hershey kisses. Has anyone done this before? Do you know roughly how many kisses it would take to fill a 16oz mason jar? I was planning to buy many party sized bags from Walmart but found out that they sell a bigger bag (400pc) and would like to buy that instead just don't want to buy too many.

Do you have the mason jars? Can you buy a small bag from the store and see how many it takes to fill one then just multiply that by the number of glasses?

Your best bet is to just buy one mason jar and small bag of kisses and put a mock favor together to know how many fit.

That's what I was wanted to do but I'm in the middle of dieting right now so that'd be a weakness for me. I just wanted to see if anyone's done it before I go buy and do it myself

You don't have to necessarily fill the entire thing with hershey kisses if you don't want to. If anything you can put in like shredded decor/gift paper at the bottom and then fill the rest up wit hershey kisses. Smiley smile

I agree with Heather! i think you can just get some shredded paper or tissue paper and just put some in the bottom because i think you'd actually need quite a bit of hersheys per jar if you filled it up entirely

They also have smaller mason jars (half and quarter size) that you might consider.

Keep in mind too that a lot of favors get left behind so even if you buy the right amount to fill jars you’ll probably end up taking a bunch home. Just pointing that out if you don’t want to end up with a bunch of chocolate at your house! We decided not to to favors all together because of how many get left behind.

I was thinking of canceling them altogether too but half my guest are kids so I know if adults don't want them the kiddos will take them Smiley xd

And sadly I already bought the 16oz mason jars for a good deal. So I don't have the budget to buy new ones.
