Feather Bouquet

Ms. Boop, on February 13, 2012 at 3:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Hello fellow brides!! I haven't been on here for awhile and it is so hard to believe I have about 130 days to go....considering when I joined I had about 400 days lol We are basically all done with the planning and Weddingwire has been a TREMENDOUS help. I have made the bridesmaids bouquets and am now working on mine. I want a feather bouquet BUT making the flowers out of flowers is sooo consuming. Does anyone know where I can buy feather flowers. I have searched the web like crazy and the only thing I find is the whole bouquet already made on sites like Etsy. They are beautiful but I am pretty good at floral design and would prefer to make my own. Help if you can. Attached is a picture of the rose bouquets I made and a pic of the white feather bouquet I want to make.

I was actually just at wal-mart and they had some feather roses in with their valentines stuff in seasonal...otherwise I would say check your local craft store (michael's, jo-ann's, hobby lobby, Ben franklin's, Handcock Fabric, ect) Good luck!

Thanks Michella. The bottom of my gown has a few feather roses so I decided on a feather bouquet. It was between that or a brooche bouquet...check Etsy they have some great ideas that u can try to DYI. Originally I was making the flowers out of ostrich feathers myself BUT it is sooo consuming. It took me about 1hr to make 1 flower. So yea I quit that idea lol thanks to FutureMs I found already made feather roses on line that I will use. The best ones at a good price were $26 a dozen at lamplightfeather.com shipping was only 1penny :-) I will use those along with the feather sprays I found at Joanne fabrics.....I'll posts pics in a month or so when I finish it. Good luck!
