I'm getting married in september and I have a gatsby theme and I really want my bridesmaids to have petite feather fans instead of bouquets however I don't want to pay $70 for each one. Does any one know how to make them yourself?

One of the girls I know buys the cheap wooden fans and glues feathers from craft stores to the blades. I've also seen girls use paint brush handles wrapped in decorative ribbon and somehow attach the feathers to that for a fixed non closeable fan... I'm not that crafty but who knows what inspiration you can find walking through a craft store.
