Hi! We were able to reschedule for February. Our date is 02/02/2022. I pray we finally have our dream wedding. We are now eloping to Jamaica and doing everything at the beautiful Sandals Royal Plantation resort. I didn't want a beach wedding because it doesn't fit our theme and my gown is not sand appropriate ( I can see my train just dragging sand with it like a wake on a boat. Lol!). We will marry in a Victorian style Gazebo that is on a terrace that juts out towards the ocean. Our theme is Victorian, obviously. My gown is a very full pale blush ballgown in a shade named pink champagne. Since we are now going to Jamaica, we went with real touch flowers instead of real. I'll attach our color palette. I've attached pics of my gown, our venue, color palette, custom invitations, my day of wedding purse, my Groom's attire, our cake topper ( we now have two other fur babies, but the topper people are closed), my day of makeup look, and I can't remember what else. I'm recovering from covid if I'm a bit slow on replies. I just wanted you to know you aren't being ignored. I'm still sleeping about 16 hours a day.

What is your theme? Where are you getting married? Have you had to reschedule? What are your colors? What do plan on having your bouquet and boutonnière's look like? I'd love to see gown pics if anyone is willing to share. At this point my gown is no longer top secret. ha ha How are you wearing your hair? Please share anything you wish.
We are all getting close to that 90 day mark and I'm getting nervous. I still have my veil to finish. So much was put on the back burner with us having to reschedule and then my having a severe case of covid. I look forward to meeting each of you. 🥰❤

A June bride!! I love June for a wedding. Congrats!! ❤A movie theme sounds fun. I'll look forward to see what you do. We are doing a Cinderella/Masked Ball theme for our October 30th reception next year. So I guess it's partially a movie theme. ha ha

You are so welcome! 😊 Again, I can't wait to see your wedding pics. 😍 I grew up in the New Orleans area, so masked balls for Mardi Gras are part of who I am. We thought it'd be fun to combine it all into a Halloween reception. Most of my guests live far away, so if they want to attend, they'll have plenty of time to plan.

Thank you, Fiona!! ❤ It was a blessing I already had them on hand and with the rubber bottom the wedding planner suggested. Oh! I found THREE more pairs of shoes in this brand from blingy silver sandals to heels. LOL! I still wish I could wear my Choo's, but maybe for our reception. I'm a shoe nut. WAaaaay too many pairs!! 😂🤣

Rosie, what have you been up, too, besides sneaking in to try on your shoes? ❤ ha ha I don't blame you one bit!! I cannot WAIT to see your wedding pics. Make sure the photographer gets some good ones with your shoes and underskirt.

I finally posted a pic of the shoe I'll be wearing instead of my Choo's. I'm at 80 days!! It's definitely getting extremely real. I'm so far behind. I may not get everything done. Did I mention, since I'm losing so much weight from covid, my seamstress said not to come until 12/31? I know she'll get it done, but that makes me nervous. 😓

    Haha!

I can't believe I missed your beautiful sparkly shoes! Lovely!

We have started to think about what practical, boring things we have left to do - because we postponed so close to our date, we were pretty much done except the mentally taxing stuff you're not really able to do too far before the date (finalizing menus, arranging full payment, organising timelines and who is to be where, and how all the moving parts will eventually fit together).

So, not much fun, pretty things to share! BUT!

I have my next fitting on Thursday of this week, which is super exciting! I get to see the sleeves on my dress for the first time (and decide to take them off or not), the peach tulle under my dress, and just try it on after so long away! I haven't tried it on since the 1st of June, so 5.5 months!

I can't believe you're only 80 days out!! So soon! Ours is about 103.

Is anyone else sending out emails to their vendors asking about whether their offices are closed over the holidays and what dates they'll be out of action? That is what I'm working on today/this week - contacting them all and confirming important dates/payments/whatever are coming up (especially when they fall during what might well be an offices' 'shut down' dates) so we can put a spreadsheet together and make sure we're organised and ask any questions we might have before/after then, and won't panic if we don't hear back from them during that period.

I can't wait to hear how your fitting goes. Be sure and share! If you take pics, please post.

Since we are eloping, everything is being done by our resort ( SO lovely not to have to worry, just show up). We won't have to deal with our vendors until a closer time to our wedding reception. I feel for you. I think finding out the dates your vendors are closed for the holidays is a great idea!!
Have a wonderful week! Will look forward to hearing from you! ❤

STOP IMMEDIATELY ... this is ADORABLE. it is so hard to do a theme like this and have it not look childish, but you have pulled it off and i am impressed. I LOVE the Groot and Iron Man planters

I did get photos at my fitting, so I'm sharing them for you! She showed me the sleeves, the pink tulle under skirts, and pinned the dress for the alterations.

The tulle is a lot paler than I expected, because apparently if she did any darker, it was visible through the skirts. Even though the fabric is super thick, it is quite sheer. So, it's just a touch.

I do also have a pink sash, but she said she thought it was more dramatic without it and so I didn't get a picture of it. I think she's right, but the belt is more.. me? I'm leaving it off for now and can choose closer to the day. I was also super relieved because she said the sleeves can just be taken off with a seam ripper on the day if it turns out to be some insane temperature! So I don't need to decide until much closer to the time! What do we think?

Ohhhhhh Rosie!!! IT'S GORGEOUS!! You look stunning!! 😍😍

Your fabric looks like a very heavy Satin. I simply can't imagine a bit darker tulle showing THAT much, unless she had fushia!! Seriously. I love it, but wish she'd have pinned some in to let you make the decision.
Also, I'm all for the Bride's personal preferences. If you want a pink sash, than by all means, do one. Your gown is going to be dramatic no matter what!! I guess since I have my fashion degree, I'm a bit more outspoken. Ha! Ha!
How I wish I could have had short, puffy sleeves on my gown. I'm jealous!! 😘❤ I sincerely hate it being strapless. Nothing I can do about it now. 'Sigh.'
Congratulations!! You will be such a beautiful bride!! Thank you so much for sharing. 💗💕💗💕 xoxo

    Awww, you are so sweet!

I am ok with the amount of pink, although yes I would have liked a little more! But was always only going to be my little secret anyway.

haha, I wanted the skirts even bigger - she didn't think I wanted a hoop in there. But I was like... um, no, I want ALL the skirts. BIGGER! Make me a cupcake!

I like that most of these details are ones I can choose very much closer to my wedding date and don't need to decide right now so I won't miss out. The weather here has been VERY changeable, we're apparently in for a cold, wet summer, so being able to keep the sleeves until much closer to the time is a great comfort to me.
