Feeling DUMB...I forgot to add 2 IMPORTANT lines on the RSVP cards...UGH!

Lexi, on June 13, 2015 at 2:40 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

I sent out my wedding invitations on Wednesday....so excited! I put 'We've reserved ___ seat(s) in your honor. I put the number they are allowed to bring. THEN I realized I didn't put a decline or accept section!!! I hope the guests don't think I'm crazy. Well, at least I was smart enough to put an entrée and dessert section...so they have to send it back. Whelp, let's see how this goes o_O

"Oh, she saved 2 seats for us, Honey. I guess she knows we'll be there and we don't have to RSVP."

I'm afraid ^ is how it will go.

Oops! Those kinda seem like the major lines on the RSVP. I foresee several phone calls in your future to clear up any confusion, but overall I wouldn't get too upset over it as many people will probably write in their own "accepts" or "declines."

I agree, you'll probably be hunting down quite a few RSVPs. Maybe make a Facebook status (set the privacy settings so only your FB friends invited to the wedding can see it) making a note for guests to write in whether or not they will be able to make it and return it to you.

Heaven FORBID! Thank goodness I was smart enough to put an entrée and dessert section. So, they have to mail it back. I'll just have to wait and see. Hmm, I'm going to add this to my discussion Smiley winking

I don't have an accept or decline either...it wasn't even that I forgot it. I put ___ out of ____ (filled this in) guests will attend. Thinking people would figure out that if they weren't coming, they would put 0. Nope. Some put will not in the blank, but I'm still getting them back, so that's a good sign.

I had all of those lines on our RSVP's, the _____ of _____ will attend and then the accept/decline line underneath and NOBODY is checking "accept". They're all just putting their names and the number who will attend and for the few declines, they're writing in 0. I bet it won't turn out to be as big of a problem as you think. (at least I hope!)

Did you number your RSVPs? Someone on here suggested it and she was able to tell because some people didn't write their names on the RSVP M______ section.

If not, maybe a mass BC e-mail to save on time?
