I have always been a thick girl.. even when i was the best shape of my life I was considered thick. I have put on some pounds in the last 10 years and my family makes sure I'm aware of it.. then my younger sister just went and did this photo shoot just because and she's this size 0 and always has...
I have always been a thick girl.. even when i was the best shape of my life I was considered thick. I have put on some pounds in the last 10 years and my family makes sure I'm aware of it.. then my younger sister just went and did this photo shoot just because and she's this size 0 and always has been, and I just keep seeing my family talk about how beautiful she is and how they are so proud of her. If it wasn't for my fiance I don't think anyone would even call my pretty... I've been trying to work on my weight but with working so much lately my motivation is down and seeing my family just put me down all the time, it really just makes me want to give up... this is more of just me venting .. I just I wish that I could either loose the weight or hell my family would stop putting me down all the time ..

I'm so sorry your family is making you feel this way Smiley sad I've always struggled with weight as well, so I know how you feel in that regard. Just keep trying to be as healthy as you can be and focus on your FH and how he feels about you. Screw your family. How skinny you are does not dictate the kind of person you are.

I peeked at your photos as well and you're honestly gorgeous! I love your dress and the way it fits you. And I'm not just saying this to be nice over the internet.

Melanie stop it! You sound just like me so I will share what I've been told. Your family will never stop. It's up to you to decide if you will listen. There are no magic words to make you like what you see in the mirror. I went from a size 18/20 down to an 8. Guess what I see when I look in the mirror. Yep. That 260 pound me. We have to change our mindset. We can't wait for anyone else to change. I know I don't have soft pretty words to make it all better. Perhaps just knowing you're not alone will help a little.

Use their comments as motivation girl! Confidence is key at any size! Forget what they have to say. If you want it then you work for it and know you did it for you and not their comments.

Hunny you are beautiful!!! I would address it with your family with how it makes you feel. I'm a curvy girl as well. Don't let anyone else's perception of you get under your skin. Only opinion that matters is yours.

I have no experience with your exact situation, but I am the same way as you in one thing... Negative reinforcement hurts you.

Some people step into shape from being put down and called fat, so they become determined to prove everyone wrong. I am the opposite, and it seems you are too- you need encourage and people to appreciate the strides you make. Maybe you can have a conversation about this with your family? If they want to help you get healthier and happier, they should be able to change their tone.
