Feeling sad/frustrated

Anna, on October 16, 2020 at 8:20 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 12
Today is my wedding day and while I'm super excited I am also feeling sad/frustrated. Two weeks ago we reached out to all of our guests to give them a chance to change their RSVP due to a recent spike in Covid cases. Everyone said they were still planning on coming. Then late last night, my dad let me know that everyone from my side of the family (other than my parents and sisters) would not be coming to the wedding. While I totally understand not feeling safe because of Covid, it's extremely frustrating that they waited until the night before the wedding (after we already had the seating chart finalized and had paid for their food) to tell us they would not be coming. I also wish they would have told me themselves instead of sending the news through my dad. Some of them even texted me about other stuff yesterday and never said a word about not coming to the wedding.

I definitely understand why you are feeling frustrated because that is annoying. And yes they should've personally told you ESPECIALLY if you talked to a few of them.

Sorry you have to go through that. But look on the bright side, you are marrying your spouse today and this is what really matters. Try to enjoy your day today, I hope everything goes well Smiley heart

I would definitely be frustrated/sad as well. I'm sorry you are going through this. They should have told you themselves than someone else. Unfortunately, this happens though when someone decides to get married during a pandemic. I hope you are able to enjoy your day though.

That is definitely frustrating. I agree that they could have told you directly, and they could have said something sooner. However, don't let it ruin your day! Set that topic aside for another day, and focus today on marrying your fiance and all the happiness that comes with that! It will be a beautiful day, and you do have other guests who will be celebrating with you today. Happy wedding day!!

I'm sorry you're going through this, I would be frustrated and disappointed as well. At this point, there's not much you can do except enjoy your day with those who will be in attendance. Worry about the rest later. Happy wedding day!

I’m sorry you had to wake up to that, it is very frustrating and disappointing. But today is your wedding day! Push aside those other things and just focus on marrying your person. Enjoy the day!

I'm so sorry you're going through that! Your feelings are valid and the way they all went about the situation was uncalled for. Just remember that today is your day, and what matters is that you have fun and are happy!

Omg that is so awful and rude, I’m sorry they did that to you the night before your wedding. Try to forget about it at least for the day and focus on your FH. That is something you can deal with after the day is over however you see fit

That is so rude of them!!! I personally would disconnect from them and delete them out of my life. Who wants people like that around anyways?!
Enjoy your day!! It’s about the two of you 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

No offense to you, but screw them. It's THEIR LOSS. I get ppl are freaked out, but this only happens once, they really did you a huge disservice. Brides have enough on their plate to worry about and dead beat family members are the last thing they need to worry about. My husband always said, "marriage is just the beginning to the rest of our lives", and "it only gets better from here". I hope they all come to regret their decision and wish them the best, but for now, enjoy yourself and your WEDDING DAY! CONGRATS!
