Felons not allowed on base!!!

Since it takes time for the paperwork to be processed, should I include the required paperwork with my STD or send it with the wedding invitation?

Thank you all for your responses!! Set aside the "B" list comment, yes, I already planned on having my wedding at this venue. Due to the shooting on the Navy Yard (Washington DC), they do have strict rules...and we have to adhere to it. I'll start another forum about the "B" list as I wasn't even aware of what that consisted of until I entered into this forum.

@Elphaba if you have nothing better to do than flag me because I stated my opinion as others have, then do you boo!!

Again, thanks again for your responses as I will place the appropriate paperwork with my beautiful invitations. Stay tuned for photos.

    Luv y'all!!

The only thing I could think of in this entire thread was Beyonces supposedly black panther/illuminati halftime show.

@Vicki: The government has too much info on all of us. And No, I won't stop. Somebody has to stay awake.

@Elphaba: Now I remember you posting this about friend a few months ago. This is so tragic. I hope her appeal goes thru . A woman is attacked and she's in jail. How screwed up have our priorities become?

I'd say something about the b-listing, but obviously Sandra doesn't give a fuck about anyone's opinion anyway. Good luck!

I work on a fairly large military base and I'm not sure that they do a background check on visitors. From my experience, visitors go to a visitor center, fill out a short piece of paperwork and have a copy of their driver's license taken. 5 minute process and they receive a visitors badge and are on their way. I find it extremely hard to believe a base is going to take on the expense of running actual background checks on all of your guests.

With that said, I understand the Officer's Clubs and other venues on base are extremely affordable but I'd still never choose to hold my ceremony on post because of the hassle for all my guests that are not federal employees.

    1. I would never give out my SSN to watch someone marry.

    2. B listing is so fucking rude and disrespectful. I hope that your guests aren't aware they were invited because you had a felon invited to your wedding and they're the back up. I've never understood brides who b list just so they can have extra butt in a seat.

Also- my brother lives at Fort Polk. I have a year long pass. Before that, all I had to do was go to the visitation office, show them my license, and I got a pass for the day.

One other thing to consider is you need to inform your guest that they need to add time for getting a visitors pass into their commute. If you have 50 guests, and they all show up at 4:30 for a 5:00 wedding half of your guests are going to be late.

We have all this on our wedding website. We are also going to have people send us the required base pass info about a month before the wedding so we can have everything submitted in time.

Sandra, FYI, depending where some of your guests are coming from, like PA, they might need to take their passports instead of DL's, depending if the state is REAL ID compliant, they might need extra ID. PA currently has an extension through Oct 2017, but it's not guaranteed it's renewed.
