We met three years ago at a high school graduation through a mutual friend, a year later we went on our first date and he told me that night he told his Dad that he was going to marry me. He asked me to marry him at his Air Force BMT Graduation. We will be married in July

I knew 11 years ago when I kissed him for the first time that I was gonna marry this man some day. I told his sister the next day that i was goin to marry her brother some day and she laughed at me. Tim and I we t our separate ways and 9 years later I saw him dropping his daughter off at school ( neither of us lived in the school district yet both of our kids went to the same school) and I told his sister. 4 months later he message me on facebook and we have been together ever since. He truly is my soulmate and I have never been so in love!

I have changed a lot since I met my FH. He is not only my best friend, but also my mentor and the love of my life. Four years ago, I immigrated to the U.S. from Vietnam after 13 years of being sponsored by my uncle. It was the most difficult time of my life. I was struggling to adjust to the new culture, learn the a brand new language, and take on many responsibilities that a 18 years old like me could not imagine. My only friend at the time was my cousin, My, but she was going to Korea to teach English. Fortunately, Daniel, who has been friend with my cousin for years, contacted her because he was moving back to Atlanta after years of working in Peachtree city. I remember vividly the day My went home and talked to me after meeting up with Daniel. She said "well, there is a friend of mine, who really want to meet you. Do you want to go out with us on Monday?". I was very excited because I thought I was included in my cousin's group of friends. I did not understand My's and Daniel's intentions to hook me up lol. We went to dinner together. Daniel was incredibly smart, sweet, caring and kind. He is successful, has well established career, highly educated family's background, and he is 10 years older than me. I really thought he was my cousin's boyfriend until he told me he wanted to get to know me more. We had so many barriers, especially language, and age. But he always has faith in me. He said "it's ok, I'll teach you English, help you study for the ACT, then help you make it through college". Yes, he did. He thought me how to communicate efficiently lol. At the beginning of our relationship, we had a lot of miscommunication, but he was very patient lol. If someone complimented my English has improved, I would said it is because we have argued a lot. Lol.
If someone asked me why I love him, i would say it is because his love for Jesus. Daniel brought Jesus into my life and transformed it. Daniel guided me to the journey to get to know more and have the relationship with Christ. The love of us grows with the love we have for God. (That's another story). We have been through so much together, and my life has changed tremendously. After 2 year being abandoned our relatives in the US (they thought we were a burden), mother and I finally became independent and bought a place we called home with Daniel's help. My depression went away. I'm now a junior in college pursuing my dream to be a Nurse Practitioner. We have met awesome couple friends who become our close friends. If it was not for Daniel, I would not be who I am now. He is my teacher, my bestfriend, my fiance, my lighthouse, my comfort zone, and more than everything else, I will soon to call him my husband-my home.

She has encouraged me to let my inner child out more often.

We met over Match.com, and when we met in person, i knew she was special. she was playing a part in a local production of Shrek: The Musical and we had a mutual of theater. As for deal-breakers, we both laid out an expectation of respect first. Conversations about problems that need to be solved are dispassionate, impersonal, and come of a place of "this thing happened, i don't want it to happen again, how do we prevent it" rather than "you did a bad thing and should feel bad".

I met Lauren shortly after the ink dried on my divorce from my first wife, and while I'm not foolish enough to think i didn't have role to play in that relationship ending, i did want a partner that treated me as an equal rather than a resource. Lauren has been that in spades.

When we met, it was instant attraction for me but not for him! Took him 3 years to pluck up the courage to even talk to me, let alone ask me out! We both have definitely changed since we have been together. But all the changes have been for the better! I am a lot more trusting now that I am with him! We are about 2 months into 4 years of being together and it doesn’t even seem possible!
