When your first trip to Mexico.....

Has too much tequila!

Erik and I took a cruise and spent 1 day in Mexico.... it was enough for my liver! This is the guy who I met when we were 18 - he asked me "Yes or No". We were best friends immediately, we dated very briefly - it failed - we went back to best friends, and then stopped talking entirely. Five years later, we became friends again and my bf at the time didn't like me hanging out with Erik. I, of course, didn't see it, but looking back, my ex knew something I didn't. A few years later, Erik and I kissed outside a museum, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, on a day where we were hanging out b/c I'd scored free museum tickets. There's a few things that would be relationship deal breakers, but the most relevant would be a requirement for my to birth children. Having children at all is such an important thing for couples to agree on, so that's one thing that if we didn't agree, we'd have to split, for everyone's long term happiness. I am so glad, every single day, that Erik did something dumb, by kissing me on that cliff!
