As I was looking through WW forums, I realized there are several discussions about questions regarding bachelor parties, but no posts on what was actually done with pictures!
His best man did a great job, but is one of my closest friends so he defaulted to me for a lot of help/decision making. I totally didn't mind at all, and neither did my fiance! I know some bride's want to be involved with planning to make it more fun. For me, it really worked out & I was able to help! I found them the house rental in Pacific Beach, booked my fiance's flights using my Southwest points, ordered koozies for favors for everyone, had groceries delivered to their house, helped with the custom snapchat filter, bought my groom a festive shirt, and paid for the first round of airplane bloody marys!
They ended up going to Pacific Beach for a weekend (Friday morning - Sunday evening). He flew out of Denver into San Diego with 4 of the guys (another 5 flew in on separate flights). In total, he had 14 guys attend not including him! He had an amazing time, and I'm so happy they put together such a nice weekend for him. I was worried because the group plans at the very last minute (like most men), but they did a great job and several made it even if they booked their flight the night before! He saw quite a few friends he hadn't seen for 5+ years since he got out of the military.
10 including my fiance went deep sea fishing for yellowtail tuna & bonito. They were very successful & grilled it up for dinner that night, then froze the rest & took it back on the plane! They loved the electric scooters & road those EVERYWHERE (I got lots of dangerous snapchats throughout the weekend LOL), they went bar hopping both nights & hung out at the beach where they played volleyball during the day.
Overall, he had an amazing time & they all drank like they were 21 again haha! It was very festive & I was so happy he was celebrated. He never has birthday parties, etc. for him and is always celebrating everyone else. His best man was a ball of nerves leading up to it, wanting it to be perfect. And it was! Out of his 10 groomsmen, 8 were able to attend, including my younger brother. Then another 6 of his closest friends joined them! They really enjoyed the entire weekend getting to know each other & the wedding will only be better now because of it.
My fiance was hesitant on asking people to fly to San Diego (or drive for a few), stay in a rental house for two nights, go deep sea fishing, etc. He thought it was a lot financially but all the guys stepped up (minus two groomsmen) and had an amazing time!
