Fiancés sister

Do I have to have my fiancé’s sister as a bridesmaid? Is it wrong if she’s nice but I don’t really know her or talk to her ever? Plus I already have 5 bridesmaids and 5 on the groom side, if she did she would be walking alone kind of weird.

Nope. It's not a requirement. Your bridal party can be anyone you choose or don't choose.

Nope, I'm not having my FSIL be a bridesmaid. And my brothers will not be groomsmen standing with my FH.

Thanks everyone for all the great responses I really appreciate it, because my mom made me feel bad about not having her as a bridesmaid and now I am confidant in my decision. Thanks=)

FH and I decided that I would have his sister as a BM and he would have my brother as a GM. It just kind of worked out well that way lol. It's really just a convo you and your FH need to have, but no you definitely don't have to!

You are not required too, but for the sake of keeping things in the future civil I would do it. All in all it's up to you but there will be a lot of resentment from FH's side of the family.

You absolutely don't have to. You also don't have to have even numbers. If you don't feel close to her though, I wouldn't ask her.

You dont have to do anything . Its your day and if you want her up there with you than totally do it! But if you dont than don't. Base your day around what you want and how you feel.
