Filipiniana for a Southern Californian Wedding

Hi Brides!
I’m a first generation American, and I’ll be having a Filipino-American wedding ceremony to honor my family heritage.
I would like my parents, ninongs and ninangs to wear Filipiniana. It’s been easy finding barongs for the guys, but it’s been much more difficult finding modern Maria Clara gowns for the ladies. I would also be open to modern ternos, although I prefer the look of the Maria Clara.Filipiniana for a Southern Californian Wedding 1

Any vendor suggestions? Salamat!

Hello Holly! A few things I would try are first asking your parents and relatives where they have gotten Maria Clara gowns in the past - presumably, they have had to find them at some point for an event or another wedding. My next place to check would be Etsy to see if someone can create something custom for you. Have you looked online for retailers where you could order something and then take it to a local seamstress in your area to customize/modernize and alter it?

What color do you plan to wear?
