People I've never met before but are our parent's friends....

His huge extended family - he only wants to invite them because his mom convinced him! He was guilted into putting them on our guest list...

One of my FH's uncles. He's a recovering alcoholic (that we're pretty sure relapsed a week ago). Luckily, we got an rsvp decline because he couldn't afford the flight. I was going to have to ask my DOC to watch him all night if he came. My FH seems relieved that he's not coming too.

I don’t have an answer for that . We are having a small wedding 60 people tops so everyone that is invited deserves to be there .

My Aunts and Uncles that I’ve never even met..

My cousin, I lived with her and her bratty son for 6ish months... towards the end of it I was getting a lot suicidal thoughts... my FH who was my boyfriend at the time, called into work one day and rented a uhaul trailer and brought me back home... I had already given her the rent I owed her for that month and when she found out that I left she messaged me asking if i could give her next months rent also, because her kids bday and Xmad were around the flipping corner!!! But because she is family we have to invite her 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I don't know if it's because I am not super traditional, but I don't feel like I HAVE to invite anyone so I love everyone I chose to invite.

I've been pretty ruthless tbh, lol. If I don't want you there, you're not going, etiquette be damned. My awful aunt and one of her kids aren't getting invited, but the other two will be, and I could care less. It helps that neither of our families are trying to throw suggestions at us.

One person I might not get away with keeping off the guest list is the best man's girlfriend. She was horrid to me a while back and nearly caused a huge fight, blocked me on Facebook from her AND her boyfriend's accounts, the whole nine yards. He unblocked me of course, but she's still sour about it. We haven't had to send out invites yet so I'm sure that's an argument for down the road, but honestly I'll end my grudge if she just unblocks me and apologizes. We'll see how that goes.

I am actually happy with my wedding list.. now. My FH and I decided we wanted something more intimate. We actually cut down our list in the middle of planning (6 months before) from about 200 to 85. So, we are very happy with who is coming. lol.

My mom. I know that sounds terrible but it's a long story and I have good reasons

My FH family from Florida. He hasn't seen them in over 10 years and they don't speak at all. His mother is insisting on them being invited even though she doesn't think they will come. It would just make it easier not inviting them so I could have invited 7 other people.

One of my cousin's wife who left him and then went back to him. She's snobby but he loves her so we all put up with it.
