Filler for pen jar

Missy, on May 13, 2012 at 8:58 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

I'm making a box similar to the picture below to hold 3 mason jars and will make flower pens (with daisies of course) to place next to my guest book. In the picture with the flower pen they placed dried beans in the jar to hold the pens, but can anybody think of anything else? I've been up since 5am and my brain is fried. I'm having a fall wedding (using fall colors). Thanks!

I have lentils in the jars holding my make up brushes. They work well. Coffee beans also work (but they smell of coffee~)

Aquarium Rocks, that's a great idea!! And they come in all the colors, Thanks Marie!

Hobby Lobby calls these Decorative Oval Glass Gem's. They are round on one side and flat on the other. They come in a ton of different colors too or clear.

I got a box of those plastic fake diamond things in the wedding aisle at Hobby Lobby to fill my pen holder jar thingy. I waited til the wedding crap was 1/2 off. Figured I'd use the leftovers to scatter on the tables for some "bling"! =D

If you are worried about coffee beans being too aromatic, just lay them out on paper towels outside and the smell will leach out of them.
