Hi everyone! Just looking for some quick advice on florals. I really want a lot of flowers and my budget for just flowers is around $15k-$20k, that being said, anyone I’m this price range get enough flowers to completely.

I attached some photos for reference. Thanks so much! Filling the entire reception with flowers…am i budgeting too low? 1

I would assume that you could get that many flowers for 20k. Start getting quotes from florists, they would know best

I think it’s going to depend on a lot. Where you live, size of the space, type of flower. $20k would be no where near enough to do that where I live. I see girls spend 10-15k just for bouquets centerpieces and arch/aisle decor.

Agree with Lauren. Depends on your venue size, spacing, season and where you live. If what you showed is being imagined in a large banquet hall, that won’t be enough. If it’s a 100-person tented area of smaller space it’s possible. Speak to some local florists, they can best advise

This article has some flower installations and a few pricing estimates. Thought it was good in mentioning venue rules that you may have to check in and I’d also ask about pricing for the installations and extra employees needed to set up & breakdown the installations.

    Thank you!

You all have been very helpful, and this break down was great! I am likely going to have to either increase my budget or decrease my dreams because the ballroom at our venue is pretty large.

I don’t think they’d be able to repurpose the flowers from ceremony to reception area since they’re doing installations, but maybe they can create something where they can move the flowers from one space to another to save money?

    Those inspo pics are gorgeous!

Whether or not $15-20k is enough for flowers will really depend on how large the space is, how complicated your installs are, and what type of flowers you want. It's going to be a lot harder for a florist to source enough of one specific flower in one specific color to build a flower wall than to make the same wall with a mixed array of flowers in different colors and varieties, for example. So I suspect "flowers everywhere" is actually quite a different budget than "red roses everywhere." Simply being open to different types of flowers or choosing less expensive, easier to grow blooms (like carnations) could make a huge difference in your budget.

I think you need to reach out to florists to see what they can do and get an estimate. I suspect many smaller florists will not be able to this type of work at all, for any cost, because they just are not familiar enough with it and don't have enough connections to get the sheer number of flowers needed. You may find only a few in your area can even pull this off, and then those florists can give you a more accurate idea of how much what you want would cost, or what they are able to do with the budget you have.

Good luck and DEFINITELY post photos of the end result once you have your wedding!

I got like a teeny morsel of this for 1500 dollars. I’m talking two larger floral pieces for the arch, one bouquet, one boutonnière, and 8 floral centerpieces. These are a ton of flowers! Super beautiful but it honestly would not shock me if the all floral arrangements in these photos cost like 50k. To find someone with the skill to pull it off, make sure the flowers don’t just die, come and set it all up and tear down, etc etc. will end up being extremely costly. You could definitely do a lot with florals for 20k, but not sure it would be exactly like the photos. I would talk to some vendors and see what they think!

$15-20K is ALOT of flowers. If you can’t make that work then something is completely off. You have to talk to vendors in your area because they have a better idea of the going rate. Price depends on your area (this is an international forum so no two people pay the same for any product or service) and if you want something inexpensive like roses vs exotic out of season like orchids or amaryllis. If you are in a major city, there may be a flower wholesaler who can do set up for you.
