Final Countdown!! What Am I Missing?

Our final countdown has begun!!

Final Countdown!! What Am I Missing? 1

What are some things that I might be forgetting to do in these last few days? I think we have pretty much everything set, except for my shoes and jewelry, which I'm working on this week. Seating chart completed, vendor payments done, timeline finalized, and all decor organized. What are some common last-minute things that I might be forgetting about?

😆😆 can’t believe it’s already here Lisa! Did you look at DSW for shoes? I hope you’re able to find some this week. Jewelry shouldn’t be too bad. Will you all be providing your own cake utensils? Cake topper? Welcome sign. Day of survival kit? Like bobby pins, safety pins, bandaids, advil, q tips, deodorant.

I'm shocked at how quickly time went! Good call on the welcome sign and day of survival kit, I will work on those this week! I haven't made it out to DSW yet (it's quite a drive from where I live), but I'm planning on going out there this upcoming weekend. I looked at their website and found a couple options I'd like to try on. How are your final to-do lists going? Your day is coming up quick too!

Awesome!! Mine is going pretty good. I have the box ready to go. We have our rehearsal next Monday & I’ll drop it off at the venue. I created a checklist for everything that’s in the box & I have another same day checklist.

Awesome, sounds like you've got everything all ready to go! What do you have on your day of checklist? Even better that the venue is letting you store your decor and everything there. Our stuff is currently sitting in boxes that are all stacked in our living room. Our cat finds it to be a fun jungle gym, but I can't wait to get it out of the way lol!

That's so exciting! We're just shy of 100 days out, and it still seems like time is flying!

Maybe schedule a nail appointment (if that's your thing), have a few "extras" in your getting ready bag (like contact lenses, chargers, etc.), and write notes to anybody important (your fiancé, bridal party, parents, etc.)?

Those 100 days will fly by! What all do you still have left to do?

My bridesmaids and I talked about doing nail appointments the day before the wedding, so I'm currently looking into getting that setup. Good idea on preparing a getting ready bag with things I might need!

How are you leaving your reception and where are you going after the reception? If you do not plan on going home afterwards you may want to ask someone with a car to take certain items from the reception for you, including but not limited to the card box and any gifts you may get. Good luck!

We have a day of coordinator who will be handling tear down for our reception, though not sure about cards and such! I have a meeting with her later this week, and will be sure to ask her about if she can keep those in a safe place as well. Great suggestion, thank you!!

That sounds like a good plan, the only reason I brought it up is I know a few brides who had a few decor items and such that they wanted to keep but during the tear down they got misplaced and were never recovered. We plan on taking the really special or high value items with us when we leave (well more like give to the parents to take home) . Cheers to you!

Yikes!! Bummer that things got left behind. I have a list of everything that my day of coordinator is setting up and tearing down, but I should especially highlight the things that I want back. Cheers to you as well! What types of decor/items are you planning on keeping from your wedding?

Lol I can totally see myself dropping a contact down the drain that day and needing an extra 😂

We're pretty much in the "wait" part of "hurry up and wait" lol. We have our tasting in a few weeks, so we're waiting until we finalize the menu to order invites/ RSVP cards with dinner options, my next alterations appointment isn't until the end of next month, we're waiting to meet with our priest before we get programs together for the ceremony, etc.

We're still working on a card box, figuring out table names and how to display those, and then we probably need to get extra pens for our guest book, but nothing too crazy lol.

The big things are the guest book (which is actually a jersey from his favorite soccer team with our names and date on the back), the card box, I want my bouquet, my mother in law wants to take at least one centerpiece (she s a flower wizard), the memorial cardinal, then there are little things that I wouldn't be devastated if they got lost but it would be nice to get pack signage frames, toasting flutes, the cake topper, a copy of the menus and anything with our names and wedding date on it. My family still does the old school matchbooks for weddings (even though nobody smokes, its more for the keepsake and candles now) those will be out on the bar so I d like extras of those, the signs from our chairs and sweet heart table decor, empty baskets (from programs, favors, bathroom ) etc. How about you?
