17 days until I do and I was finally able to bring my dress home from alterations!!! I would love to still loose about 5 pounds, my dress fits and fits well however I feel like it would be just a tad bit more comfortable if I could lose just a few pounds in my mid-section! Please give me your advise on what to do in 17 days!!

I don’t think it’s realistic to lose 5 pounds in the next 2 weeks. I would focus on increasing water intake and decrease salt intake to help with bloating.

You can do it but it won’t be easy. Drink tons of water and eat very low fat and little to no carbs. This will take off the tummy weight. It’s all about the kitchen when it comes to the tummy.

You can do it. Drink half your body weight (in ounces) of water per day. Cut out carbs and sugar and you will drop those 5 pounds with no problem. Lean meats and vegetables.

Ideal protein. You loses inches if you follow it. I'm 5'1 and lost 30 lbs I had gained over a year or so in just a couple of months.

Hi Eshell. The quickest and easier way to shed weight in a short period is to get super active. Yes, it does matter what you eat. But not as much as people will make you think. You do not need to cut out sugar and only eat salads for days. You need to consume a lot of water. Cut out high sugar things such as sodas etc. and eat lean meats and high proteins such as chicken and fish and black beans etc. THE BIGGEST FACTOR IS YOUR EXERCISE THOUGH. You need to work out until you hurt. Before I became an instructor I lost 7lbs in less then a week. If you’d like some specific exercises or work out routine ideas let me know!

This is doable, but it will require some serious discipline. There's 2 angles to come from - diet and bloat. So, the easy part is to cut out all added salt and sugar for the next 2 weeks. That takes out the bloat (I intend to do this for 2 weeks before my wedding just because).

The other part is diet. You'd have to be tracking calories to do it properly. I use cronometer (phone app and web) and the settings allow me to dictate how many lbs I want to lose per week or if I am maintaining my weight. For reference, losing 1lb per week is a deficit of 3500 calories or 500 per day each 7 days. But, you gotta know your BMR, so cronometer does all that for you.

I'd do the cutting out of salt and sugar in combo with cronometer at 1.5lbs to 2lbs per week loss. I had to lose 5lbs to ensure my gown fits at the waist and now I'm doing 5 more because I believe that's my ideal body weight. Screenshot to show you the settings I have.

I would start a VERY healthy diet. Cut out all desserts, snacks, coffee creamer, soda, alcohol, etc. Then I'd do something like a HIIT workout 4-5 days a week and walk on weekends. I would drink only water & cut things with a lot of salt.

Just a note my FH is a personal trainer. Unfortunately there is no such thing as targeted weight loss. So you could lose 5 lbs but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be from your tummy :/ Everyones body is different. Personally i lose weight in my butt and arms before I lose it anywhere else. My best friend loses it in her chest and tummy first. So don't get discouraged if that happens. While I agree tummys and hips are all based on diet changing it in 17 days is not exactly realistic. I would do as PPs stated and up water lower sodium.

Intermittent fasting will help give your body a little kick start. Finish dinner by 8-9 pm and stick to it. Start by not eating anything until 10 am, then move it to 12pm. NO cream in coffee. No cheating. It cuts bloat and it works. It's what I've done since high school for years and without a "fitness regime" I've stayed within 5-8 lbs of my high school weight.

It's going to be horrible but do this:

-Drink 1 1/2-2 gallons of water per day

-Cardio and/or HIIT both morning and night

    -Eat only 1200 calories

-Use the MyFitnessPal app and track your food- make sure youre eating 40% protein 30% carbs 30% fat

You can lose 5 lbs in two weeks. Walk every day for 1 hour. Eat no sugar and no grains (read labels). Drink a lot of water. Eggs, vegetables, protein, some healthy fats, some fruit, yogurt... you can eat. You can snack. Just portion it out, don’t have sugar and you HAVE to walk.
