FINALLY!! - For anyone doing or considering doing a unity wine ceremony....

Im doing a wine ceremony but i ordered personalized wine glasses and we got a really nice decanter for christmas we are using

This is awesome! we are doing an italian themed wedding so wine will be every where and i LOVE wine and this gives me an excuse to drink it during the ceremony lol and i love the carafs (sp??) i love the wavy ones like that.

I have been looking for some sort of unity ceremony other than sand or candles that we could do and I hadn't really found anything, but a wine ceremony could be good... Though neither of us like wine, so maybe I'll put Mike's Hard Black Cherry Lemonade in it or something- not like anyone would know the difference, LOL.

Also we are doing ours a bit different ive seen a bunch of variations we are pooring each other a glass then handing it to each other then then we toast and drink and its right in the middle of the ceremony before the vows

There are literally dozens of variations on the ceremony. That's one of the things I liked about it, you can really make it your own. It's not as written in stone as say a sand or candle ceremony is nowadays.

She has a really cute wine guestbook that is a nice idea, im gonna show it to FH and see if he likes it

I do like that one better Lizzy thanks! im still on the fence, i want people to be able to write a message (if they want) and was thinking of a photo book, but i would rather have wine bottles/glasses displayed in my house than pictures of myself lol

@Lizzie, that one is almost identical to the other vendor. I think since we're doing a unity wine ceremony this would be a nice way to tie the wine in during the reception (well, besides the excessive quantities we'll be chugging that is *boom boom pat*). I guess we'd just use another bottle of the wines we use for the ceremony(?).

@Heather, You can use it in conjunction with a regular guest book.

The only down fall with the wine bottle guest book is you have to buy the wine and it cant be cheap wine or when you go to drink the last one on your 5th anniversary or what ever range you do if you went cheap it wont keep. We lucked out and our friend who family has a winery gave us our bottles but if we had bought them they are 40 each so it would have been a 200 dollar guest book well it is a 200 dollar one but we only paid 40

but nothing says you have to buy a 40 dollar bottle but you cant go cheap

Yep our colors are black silver and wine

FH is Italian

we also have wine cork place card holders
