After what feels like an ETERNITY we FINALLY have our reception venue rented! It's a local community center, but not just any one, it's the one we actually met at back in 1985, so it has significant sentimental value for us
We don't live in the city, and to rent it you have to..his younger brother does and told us he'd rent it in his name back in March and he FINALLY got back with us about it. My fiancee and he went today and not only rented it but my guy paid in full so that the biggest part of the wedding puzzle is now in place! I'm still working on finding a church, because my fiancee for some reason wants that even though neither of us go. I think he's starting to come to my way of thinking though of having them in the same place, both as a cost savings but also time saving for our guests. I think if I can find what he considers a "real" minister and not just one who can perform ceremonies he may be in.
