I would suggest sitting down with your fiancé and making a savings schedule. Determine how much each of you can save per month, then multiply that by the amount of months you would need for your ideal wedding budget. However many months that is, that is the amount of time it will take you to save. Then open a savings account, and each month put that amount into it, and don’t touch it!

Thank you as this is very useful. Myself and my spouse , we open account over a year now and we actually save an amount in the account. The thing is our income is low but we are trying to find a way to get financial help. We both are Christins

There's another thread where people just shared ways to keep the cost down. Partly you need to figure out the budget and the number of guests that you really want to be there. One bride shared about keeping costs way low -- maybe it was $1000. Also figure out the most important things you expect for the wedding. If you are able to just do the event in a church venue, the price could stay low. Check out

I think it makes sense to look at ways to cut down what you plan to spend first, then determine how much you two can realistically save between now and your wedding date by cutting back any unnecessary spending on non-wedding-related things. And finally, look into temporary part time jobs to earn extra money. Working more hours will be tough, but almost anything is doable for a finite amount of time. Good luck!

There are some online surveys that supposedly pay money or points/miles. You can look into that! Good luck raising your funds Smiley smile

Sure! This is the only one I’m familiar with. You have to be a United mileage plus member.
