Also, as a tip, try to get some spray paint with primer included. If you can't find any get some fine or extra fine (120+ grit) sandpaper to at least cut some of the sheen off the animals, otherwise they'll crack or dry weird. We did a few test runs for our wedding and got this tip from Pinterest and it worked so well. T-Rexs were a running joke at my wedding. We spray painted a bunch of them rose-gold and hid them throughout the reception (in succulent arrangement, tucked behind the bar, in the bathroom arrangements, etc.).

We invited 180, expecting around 140. Majority are couples, but that would still mean around 70 or so animals. I just love the idea, but can see how it might be a huge time consumer.

I found a store on Etsy that makes these. She added a picture holder so that I used them for my table number/sign holders. They were pretty sturdy.

I think is a cute idea if it actually matches your theme. If I see this I’ll personally think there’ll be something more related to animals for your decor unless you’re an animal lover that everyone knows this. On the other end I’ll make sure to use animals that don’t offend people. Animals like rats, snake, insects are the ones that come to mind. You’ll have to analyze what animal you pick for couples as you’re stating “find your party animal” so in a way you’re describing them. I’m not sure if that makes sense but I’ll try to avoid offending people. The idea itself is really cute.

We were considering buying magnetic place holders in the shape of golden animals from Etsy. However, the cost was more than we were looking to spend. We ended up purchasing escort cards with animal cut-outs instead (as entree designations for the caterer). Spray painting the figurines yourselves is a great idea!
