Finding a Venue, Philadelphia Area

Oh hello!


So, I'm trying to find a venue for our May 2020 date, but it's soooo difficult! We want an outdoor wedding/reception with covered or indoor contingency. We are in Philly area. Our main thought is the Mount Hope Estate and Winery (where the PA Renaissance Faire is), but wanted to know if anyone has ideas or recommendations of places for reasonable pricing? We're hoping to DIY a lot so we can afford a decent catered dinner. All intentions are for us to pay with no support---so looking to get advice and suggestions for the greater Philadelphia area Smiley smile

    Thanks! We are anticipating 100 guests right now. We are looking to spend as little as possible--ideally 9k or less (I was married once before and we did it for under 10 so I know we can do it!)

    Meredith Manor in Pottstown! I got married there in September. Their prices are very fair and the staff takes care of everything for you! I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

    We are from Philly area but getting married at Riverdale Manor in Lancaster. It has a beautiful covered gazebo as a backup for rain. We chose to have a March wedding to take advantage of their Winter Specials on pricing but have found them very affordable compared to other places in the Philly area. Their catering is all a la carte so you can customize the menu to stay in your budget and you bring in your own alcohol also so that saves a lot of money. Monica is our coordinator and she has been great so far!

    Have you checked out Jeffrey Miller Catering? They cater to many venues in and around the Philadelphia area (lots of which have indoor and outdoor options.) My fiancé and I are getting married at the Audubon Center but we also considered MOYO and Wilkenwier which are all Jeffrey Miller's Catering. Their food is AMAZING! Good luck Smiley smile

    You can look in Bensalem, Pa for venues since you are in Philly. You may find some venues that will fit your needs.

    Fleisher Art Memorial

    The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America

    Maas House (on the smaller side)

    Check out my venue -- Morris House Hotel in Philadelphia. Not sure if it's within your budget, but it's a beautiful, outdoor venue (hotel, restaurant and courtyard garden) with a clear-top tent, making it completely weatherproof without losing the beauty of the historic, charming setting!
