Traditions shouldn’t hold you back - we’re all for picking and choosing the traditions that are right for you and skipping the ones that aren’t! Are there any traditions or old customs you definitely plan on skipping? Finish the sentence! Next Question: I still can’t believe _____ is so expensive!...

Not much of a choice but my dad is not walking me down the aisle, my mom is. She raised 2 kids on her own being mom and dad so she deserves it.

Too many things to list. Not your "typical" wedding

The flower and garter toss. Both nowadays just make everyone uncomfortable. I'm just dedicating my bouquet to my grandmother and we're not doing the whole garter thing.

The garter/bouquet toss and the grand exit. We will be honoring our oldest married guests instead and staying as late as our last guests.

Unfortunately I've lost both of my parents and so has he, so there are several parent related things that we won't be doing. Also, we won't be throwing rice!

The grand entrance and grand exit. It’s a small wedding so I don’t think it’s very needed.

Probably the bouquet toss since there won't be hardly anyone to throw it to. I think we will do the anniversary dance instead.

Garter toss, bouquet toss, all traditional "father" things, walking "down the aisle", a dinner toast, cake in the face, sleeping apart and not seeing each other on the wedding day, church ceremony, "you may kiss the bride" is being replaced by our nephew saying "now give her a little kissie", probably marrying early morning, basically no wedding party, non traditional vows.

The traditional wedding march, the garter toss and bouquet toss, the dollar dance, the stupidly dangerous snake dance (el baile de la vibora del mar), anything else...?

Oh we skipped a bunch, ha! Our wedding itself was non traditional. We did a micro wedding, so it was like an elopement but it was planned and only our parents and our dog were present. It was beautiful!

The garter retrieval/toss, the bouquet toss, giving bride away, church ceremony, religious officiant, speeches, toasts, scheduled dances, wedding cake, bridal party, first looks, send off, sleeping apart the night before. That is all I can think of right now.

Garget and bouquet toss. I also would like to do away with father/daughter dance and father giving me away. But I know that would absolutely break his heart since I am basically the only daughter.
