Hi - we are trying to determine if we should get married in from of the fireplace (in photo) in our event room. How would you decorate this? We need to have a table for photos of our deceased fathers and other items important for the ceremony and we’ll be lighting a seven candle candelabra as we say our vows.

Our colors are orange & teal, theme is Art Deco and some Hindu elements. Thoughts?

I like the candle idea. It doesn’t look as if you’re trying to hide it but e have what’s already there.

Something like this might be pretty... lots of candles (I'd assume battery powered would be best) and some greenery. That would accent off the mirror. The lanterns are nice too.

We’ve been discussing and are thinking about making drapes with the teal satin and using tension rods above each of the two closets that flank the fireplace and drape the orange organza - somehow .
And like your last photo Rosie, have the mantle flowers cascade asymmetrically on one side then have the candelabra stationed the opposite side of the fireplace. The candelabra will have matching flowers.

We need to go visit the venue to get measurements!

You can always put the gift table in front, or the food table too. I know it may not be ideal, but if you were wanting to hide the fireplace I don’t think it would be super noticeable if a table was in front.

It’s really nice though! I love how fireplaces give the room that antique/rustic feel.
