What did you get your spouse for your first anniversary? I'm actually on the hunt for something very specific -- while we were engaged I got a ton of sponsored posts for a framed type of collage that had a spot for a wedding picture, the date, an icon representing what the weather was that day, etc....

I'm actually on the hunt for something very specific -- while we were engaged I got a ton of sponsored posts for a framed type of collage that had a spot for a wedding picture, the date, an icon representing what the weather was that day, etc. but I cannot find it for the life of me. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please share the link! I don't believe it was an Etsy find, it seemed like its own business.

Since I'm not having much luck there though, I am interested in some back-up ideas! I've thought about getting our vows or our blessing poem framed, to go with the 'paper' theme of the first anniversary, but I'm not sure.

We are taking a trip leading to our 1st anniversary date and plan to have a photoshoot while on vacation. Since hubby isn’t so much of a traveler, we agreed to take 1 big vacation for our future anniversaries (not sure how that will work once kids come into play but for now that gives us something to look forward to and celebrate anniversaries).

We have a special anniversary sundial that was designed to sit indoors on our window sill and it makes rainbow colors in our room when the sun shines. It was made for us by a man in the USA who added a line to the sundial time telling part that the sun shadow follows on our anniversary day each year. There is a mark on that line for the time of our ceremony, and every year when the time shadow touches that mark we drink a toast...I don't remember what it's called but you can see it online with a search. It is wonderful!

We had a Covid elopement, so our anniversary gift was actually having our wedding celebration (albeit a couple weeks later). But since we aren't going to have a redo wedding every year we also did dinner at a fancy restaurant and got a DNA test for our dog (since you could print the results on "paper" and paper is the traditional 1 year anniversary gift).
