First dance Entrance, or waiting?

Soon2beMrsLittle, on May 30, 2014 at 1:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

Im wondering how many are doing their first dance right after the introduction or are you doing entrance to one song, sit down then do the first dance. Im just wondering about transition of music, like if you and your partner are coming in to a fast song, will you wait to do your first dance? I hope im explaining myself right.

Jessica, so will it be 2 different songs or the song you're walking into will be your first dance song as well?

We doing our dance right after our introduction - we'll have 2 different songs.

The one the whole bridal party will come in on (including us) - then we'll have the DJ say something along the lines of "Ladies and Gentleman if you could please direct your attention to the dance floor, Mr. and Mrs. Milwaukee_Bride would like to share their first dance together." And then he'll start our song Smiley smile

I don't think we have a song for introductions - just some announcements or something.

After we come back in, we're doing a thank you toast and family toasts. After the toasts, we're doing our first dance. Hope that helps!

We are doing ours immediately after our entrance. The bridal party and us will come into the same song, and then our first dance song will come on

FH and I are coming in to one song and then after the bridal party is all announced, we will go right into our first dance. Then we eat!

I don't like doing anything after I eat so we are doing our dances right after we are introduced. It will be two separate songs for introduction and first dance. Then dinner.

We're doing it right after the introduction into the reception. Our DJ suggested it (I've actually never seen it done), and I like how it will split things up and we can "get it over with" so I'm not worried about timeline after. No cake cutting, bouquet/garter incorporation, etc, so after the dance I will just have to be sure to dance with my dad (and FH with his mom).

We're having intros, sit down for speeches then dinner. First dance and parent dances will be after that. I don't like the interrupted flow of dancing, sitting to eat, then more dancing.

We'll be doing our first dance after dinner only because the food tables will be in the way before that Smiley smile

I went to a wedding on Saturday and they did their first dance right after the introductions to a different song...

FH and I also plan on doing our first dance right after we enter. It just makes it easier since we're already up. This will also allow us to kills time while people order their food. We would also do toast during that time as well. I have the break down written at home. But we're def do all of that before everyone eats brunch. I don't believe we're doing a bridal entrance. Cake cutting would also be done during that time since I've heard it takes a little while for them to cut the cake.

We are doing our first dance right after we enter. We are having a plated dinner so while they start serving the first course of the meal we will be finishing our first dance!

We are having our first dance after dinner, this is what our planner suggested too. I know a lot of couples choose to dance right after the introduction, but that just seemed weird to us, one dance then sit down to eat.
