First dance song AND why?!

Our is "Hallelujah", but the Jordan Smith (from The Voice) version. We both LOVE that song and Jordan's voice is amazing!!!!!

Our first dance song will be Lover Lay Down by Dave Matthews Band because FH and I are super fans of DMB.

Faithfully by Journey. It's the first song we ever danced to back in college when we first started dating. It means a lot to him that it be our first dance as a married couple.

C Lo Green - Anyway. My better half's favorite love song.

Linger by cranberries. It is always on the radio when we get in the car & it became a little joke between us, we both love it, it's easy to dance to, & it's not used by e dry other couple.

Thinking Out Loud because it was the proposal song. FH has a man-crush on Ed Sheeran.

....but my Papa is singing it. He sang that song for both of his daughter's weddings and now it is his first granddaughter's turn <3

Crazy girl by Eli Young Band because when we first started to date back in 2011, this song came out and it has just stuck with us ever since.

'Yellow' by Coldplay. We love it, it's one of those types of songs that when it hear you usually turn to the person next to you and say, "oh I Love this song!" The type of song that hits an emotional or nostalgic note with people so we definitely wanted that feeling.

It's actually #50 in the top 50 first dance songs played at weddings, so not super common but still associated with love and coupledom.

Latch, the sam smith acoustic version. the original song by dislosure was super popular when we started dating and we heard it all the time. now every time we hear it we text each other or point it out. it just seemed fitting to be our first dance

We are using "From the Ground Up" by Dan and Shay. I bawled like a baby because it was so sweet!

@ouradventure - it's actually a new song. I meant that FH and I have been together since high school so the song really strikes a chord for us and the years we've been together.

We chose 'Someone Like You' by Van Morrison. I'm a big Van Morrison fan, but the lyrics to that song are perfect for us. We waited so long to find each other. I moved around a lot before settling in VA, where I finally met DH. It was a first marriage for both of us at 35 & 39. The song often repeats 'I've been searching a long time to find someone exactly like you' and we both say finding each other was definitely worth the wait.

We danced to "Without You" by Keith Urban. The words really resonate with us, about building a life together over time.
