First dance song AND why?!

I loved you before I met you by savage garden. We met online and the words fit how we feel about each other.

Ours was moondance by Van Morrison for no reason other than we both love it and it's different

I'm sure it's so overdone but we danced to All of Me by John Legend. The very first time I heard it I knew I wanted to dance to it at our wedding one day.

Our very close second was When I say I do by Matthew West - very fitting and part of us wanted something different.

"You're All I See" by The Word Alive. We've been to quite a few concerts together and this is one of the bands that does have a slower love song, but still has those

great upbeat guitar riffs. We don't want anything too slow.

It's not set in stone just yet but I'm pretty sure we'll be dancing to "Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran. FH and I are huge fans but didn't want to go with thinking out loud because of its popularity. Photograph by Ed Sheeran is a close second.

Home to me by Josh Kelley, it was in one of the first shows we watched together as a couple

Jack Johnson, "Better Together". We are both JJ fans, and this song has always just kinda been, our song. It's not the easiest to dance to, but we made it work.

La vie en Rose because we're both huge HIMYM fans and it's a beautiful (mercifully short) song ;-)

@leanne that was our second choice! We both love the Arctic Monkeys and our wedding is a vintage theme so that would have been perfect...you have great taste! :-D

We're doing When I Say I Do by Matthew West. Mainly because I heard it and started bawling my eyes out and knew it jus couldn't be anything different.

Right now our top choice is "La Luna Hizo Esto" by Il Volo. It's super romantic, has an instrumental bit about 2 minutes in that leaves a gap for us to cut the dance off or invite others to join (we're undecided), and is sung in Spanish as a nod to FH's roots. Plus we're big Il Volo fans; FH got me one of their CDs for Valentine's Day one year.

We're dancing to "I Don't Dance" By Lee Brice. We talked about "From the Ground Up" by Dan and Shay, but I don't dance was like the first song we ever danced too. And it in fact is very much FH! He really does not dance, but he always dances for me if i want to (at weddings or wherever).

We are also using From the Ground Up because I think it's so sweet, and very fitting of marriage. You build a marriage. You work through things even when it's hard. Then, eventually, you have years of memories to look back on. That's what it's all about. That's why I love the song. He says I light up when I hear it. That's why he suggested we use it.

I think we're going to use "Who I am with you" by Chris Young.

Early in our dating life we took a trip to Nashville, and hung out at a little dive bar near our hotel where Chris Young, and Shay from Dan & Shay were there hanging out/drinking, playing corn hole, it was really fun to see "stars" being real people.

Since then, my ring tone for FH has been Who I am with you - and it just seems to totally fit us, because being with him really does make me a better person.

Coming Home by Leon Bridges! FH has a thing for oldies (or oldies sounding music) and I'm a sucker for sweet lyrics, so it just fit perfectly. And it's a bonus that it's still a bit unknown.

Me & my FH 1st dance will be it all started with a beer as well, simply because it i d the story of how we met & fits us so well.
