First dance song

Yes! Well we originally weren't going to do a first dance. We are having a very small wedding. We are just taking the family out to eat. But the venue we got, the woman told us where other couples have their first dance. So I suggested cant help falling in love by elvis. But now I really want overjoyed by matchbox 20. I'm a huge fan of their and it just makes sense. So who knows, I still got close to 9 months until my wedding, so all that can change lol.

Oh my goodness, I listened to this song for the first time yesterday!! It’s so beautiful!! I think it’s a great choice for your first dance, and absolutely perfect if your wedding is Disney themed!!

What were some of the other songs that you were considering for your first dance? Where they all from Disney movies also?

We changed our song. Originally I had heard a cover of a Chaka Khan song in a yoga class and fell in love - "ain't nobody" cover by Jasmine Thompson. My DH liked it but didn't really care. Of course, I offered another suggestion, a cover of a Talking Heads song, "This must be the place" by The Lumineers. I really love the Talking Heads and my DH is into the Lumineers and that style music. I should have known he would pick the second choice lol. I'm glad we made a decision together. We had our guitarist perform it live and it turned out great!

LOL FH has changed it already, and was thinking of changing it a second time!

My FH and I haven't changed our song, but it took us a longgg time to decide on a song. We decided on "Better Together" by Jack Johnson (both love Jack Johnson and that song). But I LOVE that version of A Whole New World by ZAYN and Zavia Ward!

We’ve changed ours 3 times!
We originally were going to use “Perfect” by Ed Sheehan but it became way too overplayed (we discovered it a while before it was on the radio).
Then we were going to use “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran because we both love this song but then we discovered “This is Why I Love You” by MAJOR and that one seemed to be better as a first dance song so that’s what we’re going with as of now. 57 days until the wedding so we’ll see if it changes again

We haven't decided and we have a long while. I have a feeling this will be the issue for us though. We have thrown a few songs around for a few reasons. Our top picks right now are:

"Warmness on the Soul" - Avenged Sevenfold

"Feeling Good" - Michael Buble

"See It Through" - Love Actually (Texas)

Turn me On - Love Actually (Norah Jones)

Our first dance will be to "Recycled Air" by Postal Service. It was at one of their concerts he told me he loved me for the first time.

Etsy is my best friend. custom made Disney theme cards for each table. custom made white paper lanterns. 2 big baskets with mickey/minnie mouse ears for guests as they walk in as favors, minnie/mickey mouse ears on us on our custom made cake topper, random props like an apple for snow white table/little nemo themed frame for nemo table/enchanted rose in glass vase for beauty & the beast table etc, Disney castle guest book alternative, and crystal cinderella carriage to use as prop on head table. Our first dance is not Disney but our wedding party is walking down the aisle to "carl goes up" from the UP soundtrack because it's so cute and sets the tone that something is happening/the wedding is starting. I'm having trouble remembering some of the things I bought and can't check because I'm at work haha. How about you???

We have a Disney cake, will be playing Disney parks instrumental music before the ceremony, Disney table numbers, Disney photo booth, Disney website, engagement photos, and after wedding photos on our honeymoon. We will also be having our flower girl and ring bearer dressed up as beauty and the beast, a Disney ring box, and so much other stuff I canT even think of lol

Oh yes! our photo booth template the company is making for us is Disney themed as well and the props they're bringing/ additional props we ordered. I knew I was forgetting a lot of things, lol. That's awesome we love christmas. We also love halloween so our honeymoon is the Disney halloween on the high seas cruise next october so I set up an online registry for that through Disney that is linked on our website (new job so fiance can't take all of that time off until next year but it will be a great first anniversary trip as a married couple!
