Oh I love the Banana Pancakes song and I'm not even a JJ fan! We are doing "All of Me" - very typical and not original at all but we just love it! There is plenty of originality elsewhere in our wedding Smiley winking

PS- Where did you get the dress in your avatar?! I love it!

Our first dance will be to "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum. That's "our" song. It came out when FH and I started dating and he told me that it made him think of me and us because what we had seemed so great.

My Feet dont touch the Ground by Brandon Jenkins (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoYaq6lU_Rw).

Whenever FH has a new favorite song he loves to sing it to everyone and "serenade" them lol. Anyways, in the beginning of our relationship this was one of the songs he often serenaded me with.

We haven't decided yet but we were thinking about using "Thinking out Loud" by Ed Sheeran either that or "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin

A Thousand Years - Sawyer Fredericks (The Voice). FH and I watched the show together and cheered for him the whole time. After he sang the song on the show, FH was always youtubing it and playing it for me at every chance he got.

Like a star - Corrine Bailey Rae. That song soothes my soul. It's been our song for years now and FW sang it to me on the beach while we were in Mexico under the stars. Ugh...my heart.

When the right one comes along by Striking Matches. This is the 2nd marriage for both of us. The song is spot on.

We did "On Fire" cover by Town Mountain, but we really wanted to do "In Spite of Ourselves" by John Prine.

"Time in a Bottle" FH wanted it and I agreed to because I liked it. My pick was "Holding on to You" from Miranda Lambert's latest album.

Groovy Kind of Love - Phil Collins. I remember listening to that song when I was young and thinking, "If I ever get married, I want to dance with my husband to this song!" That thought has stuck around for 20 years

"Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran. FH and I don't have a "song" so the first dance didn't come right away...I had a Spotify playlist that I added to for months before choosing. We ended up with the song because the lyrics are just really sweet for a wedding. ("You look wonderful in your dress, I love your hair like that")

I was a little concerned that it would be too trendy because its Ed Sheeran, but decided it would place our wedding right smack in 2015 in our memories, even if the song is super cheesy in 5-10 years.

@FutureMrs.S: We did "Thank You"! DH is a big fan of Led Zep.

ETA: The only thing we didn't consider is that it's like 4 or 5 min. long, and after dancing for 3 min. we were just wondering when it would end, lol. And it has a "fake" ending so people clapped and then it started again.

Gone, Gone, Gone by Phillip Philips. This song had become popular when we were first dating and my FH said it reminded him of our relationship.

FI and I are deciding between the Turret Opera from Portal 2, "Alone Together" from Steven Universe, Patricia O'Callaghan's cover of "I'm Your Man", "Go Places" by the New Pornographers, and "Shut Up and Dance". I'm pushing for one of the first four because I'm much more of a waltz/rumba/tango person than a swing/cha-cha person, and FI wants something with lyrics. So far the Turret Opera is winning, but we'll see.

Forevrr Young by Meatloaf. ETA: because he sort of dedicated it to me in high school for our senior speeches and it's kind of been our song since

@M, John Prine is one of my all time favorites. I have seen him live about 10 times. I even have a Blue Umbrella tattoo on my ankle Smiley smile

We are dancing to "Sorry Signs on Cash Machines" by Mason Jennings (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A39qVmgqSPU) Mason Jennings has become our go to artist for everything... he seems to have a song for every moment of our lives. Each time I listen to Sorry Signs, I hear another line that makes me think of FH as soon as I hear it Smiley smile
