First Dance

I personally want "All of Me" by John Legend but FH wants something more old school...

We chose "I Do" by Jessie James Decker but we were also seriously considering "Look After You" by the Fray because it was the first song we slow danced to as a couple. There are so many great first dance songs out there. I like the one you're considering. Just remember the bride and groom usually do not dance for the full song so you don't need to pick a song based on length. Just try to find something that is personal for you two as a couple.

We are looking at some romantic Johnny Cash songs. FH is a heavy metal fan and I'm a country/pop fan. We both love Johnny Cash though

I had a song all picked out and then I heard that John Legend song (you know the one I mean) and I just "felt" that was the song that exactly described how we felt about each other. I know it is overplayed, but it's probably going to be our First Dance song. I do have a few other interesting ones in the back of my mind too. I thought really hard about 'Stay' by Shakespears Sister, but uh, probably not. lol

We really wanted thinking out loud by Ed sheeran. We found it on YouTube the day after getting engaged and fell in love with it. I'm actually kinda pissed it was his newest radio single. That just made it blow up into another 1000 years. Still love it, just maybe have FH's GM sing it for us to make it a bit different.

We are using Jason Aldean version of Heaven. I struggled b/c heaven is a popular song for weddings, but it just spoke to us & Jason A. played a huge part of our early relationship, so it just felt natural to chose a song by him. I am thinking of making Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran the last song of the night played or Make it to me by Sam smith

We will be dancing to "You and Me" by Dave Matthew's Band. "Our" song is "Thing Called Love" by The Darkness so we are using that as our entrance into the reception.

We danced to Watch the World end by Trace Adkins. I heard it one day on the radio then went home and played it for DH and we both agree that it was the one. Also, I have never been to a wedding where the bride and groom didn't dance to the whole song (with regard to what Natassia said). Maybe that's a regional thing? Choose the song that you want and then determine if you want the whole song or not.

We're dancing to You and Me by Lifehouse. We both just love that song!

We haven't picked a song, but I hate hate hate sappy songs, so it will probably be something off the wall. I've been kicking around Wagon Wheel (I like the Old Crow version, although FH prefers the Darius Rucker version) but not tied to it.
