My dress has finally arrived!😅 what should I bring to my dress fitting? Accessories and shoes for the wedding? Veil? Is that too much?

Definitely not too much! I would wear whatever undergarments/shapewear you plan to wear on the big day, to be sure you get a proper fit. I would also wear your wedding day shoes to ensure it’s hemmed to the proper length. I would also bring your veil and accessories to one of the fittings. A lot of brides bring those items to the last fitting to see the final day-of look all together, but you can certainly bring them to the first one if you really want to; especially if you are unsure about any of the items and want to ensure enough time to replace them just in case.

My tailor told me shoes and any undergarments I plan on wearing. I had my first fitting a couple of weeks ago and did just that. However, if you want to get the full look, you should bring accessories, too! I read in another forum you could plan your hair trial for the same day as your fitting to really see how everything comes together!

I'd definitely bring it! They told me to bring the shoes and they ended up putting on the veil too so i could try some accessories.

If you’re planning on wearing 2 different shoes through the night bring both. For instance, I’m wearing heels during the ceremony and the spotlight dances, but after dinner I’m changing into flats for the party. My seamstress is hemming my dress to my flats - and I HIGHLY recommend this. My heels will pop out and show a little when I wear them - but that’s totally fine cause they’re really nice heels! And this way, I won’t be holding my dress up all night while in flats.

I have two pairs of shoes, both are mostly flat, but I brought the pair that was shorter (a half an inch shorter isn't going to be a huge difference when I switch to the other pair). So I brought my shoes, I brought the shapewear I thought I'd wear (but my dress really doesn't need it so I'll likely just wear comfy underwear).

I have my final fitting in a month and they told me to bring my accessories to that one to get a feel for the whole look, they also told me to bring a couple people with me to that one to learn the bustle.

I put on my undergarments and shoes. I brought my veil and jewelry so for my second fitting, I'll leave it at home.

For the first fitting you really only need your undergarments and shoes (if you're planning to switch them, then bring the shorter pair). If you have a necklace that you want to make sure isn't impacted by them raising the neckline you could bring that as well.

I'm planning to bring my accessories and veil to the second fitting to see how everything looks when my dress fits the way it should (the straps needed to come way up and the bodice needed to come in a fair amount, so it was hard to see how it would really look). Then for the third fitting I'm planning to bring in my MOH so she can see how the bustle is done and take a video of it to make the day-of run smoother.
