First Gifts - So Exciting

I'm surprised bridal shower gifts when to your house, don't they typically get brought to the shower so you can open them there? Congratulations on our first gifts, we were so excited when we got our first wedding gifts!

I'm assuming they are from people who are unable to attend the shower (My MOH is responsible for RSVPs so I don't know who is coming and who isn't) or the guests realize I'll be flying in for my shower and have no way to transport gifts. For those who do bring gifts to my out-of-state shower, my mom will drive the gifts down to Georgia when she comes for the wedding.

My mom sent bridal shower invites already too. Only have one gift purchased so far I saw on the website lol. My mom asked me if I could check that and I said yeah... She said well that doesn't seem fair now you know what you're getting! I told her I made the list, I know what's on it so why does it matter lol. I am excited about the gifts!

I was really surprised and excited when my first gifts arrived, I felt really spoiled and loved and appreciative - and most of all it made things feel extra real!

We've had at least 3 or 4 gifts sent to us before the shower. We were so excited! A few were because they can't make the shower but the other gift was quite large and heavy so they probably just sent it for my convenience. I will definitely thank them in person at the shower and I already sent a thank you note.

I'm trying my hardest not to keep checking my registry because I want to be surprised. True that I did make the list, but it's large and not everything will be purchased so I'm trying to be surprised by what HAS been purchased. It's hard though!

Yes, all of these "little" things just keep making it feel even more real!
