First Look Trend - Into It or Over It?

No first look.. FH gets to see me for the first time walking down he isle in the pure white dress he requested..

I am doing a first touch as i still want his first reaction seeing me to be when he is at the altar.

The First touch will consist of an intimate prayer by our pastor and a reading of cards we write to each other. Additionally, we will gather our immediate family and take a picture of us while the form the shape of a heart.

Lets hope i can execute my vision.

Over it personally. I think it's a good opportunity for a sweet and memorable moment, but I'm so glad that the first time my husband saw me was as I was coming down the aisle

I think it is very sweet. I personally am not doing it but I really like the idea.

Into it. We've decided to do a first look since we will be walking down the aisle together.

I'm completely torn. A first look would work a lot better for our schedule, but waiting feels more romantic. I'm not sure what I want and FH is no help. So I'm not sure about this one.

I am definitely INTO the first look trend! My husband and I did one and I'm so glad we did. I think it gives the couple the chance to spend some time together, alone, to just revel in the beauty of the day and relish the emotions surrounding it. It also takes some of the nerves away as you've already seen each other. And it gives you that private, intimate moment together before walking down the aisle to enjoy each other and the fact that you're about to be married.

This is coming from a Photographers daughter and current Bride-to-Be: Do a first look. I highly recommend it to all couples. It is one of the few special moments where you get to spend with your future partner alone before the day kicks it high gear and flies by. I have never and I mean never have met a bride who isn't glad that they did. Now hear me out I totally understand where those of you who wish for the walk down the isle moment solely and that is not a negative thing by any means; all I am saying is for those pre-ceremony nerves, it has calmed them or lessened for many by having a first look and I promise you still have that walk down the isle moment with your partner.

Definitely into it, we're doing it as a way to also get the bridal party pictures out of the way as well.

We did a "first touch," and it didn't go as planned. We got married at a library so I wanted us to hold hands around a bookshelf, but they ended up having him face away from me as I walked up and hugged him...he didn't turn around. I told him I loved him and pranced off while getting teary!

Totally over it. I want that first look going down the aisle.

INTO IT! I love the privacy it offers as well as giving us more time to hang out with our guests instead of a super long cocktail hour.

Over it. I like having the anticipation of seeing him for the first time up by the altar.
