First Look

We don't know if we're going to do a first look or a first touch yet. We love things about both of them! I'm on the side of the first look though, just because I want that moment to be caught on camera and not potentially missed.

We kind of are. Going to do a duo blindfold last fiance kiss. And get to talk for a few minutes pre ceremony but other than that we do t want to ruin that special moment.

Glad this came up, talked with my fiancé this weekend, we are not doing a first look.

Honestly, I think the biggest perk of a first look is having that intimate moment kept private between the two of you. It takes the pressure off of FH to have some big over the top reaction in front of everyone. We loved our first look because it allowed us to spend the majority of our day together.

We are keeping it traditional by waiting for my walk down the aisle.

We’re going to be traditional & wait till ceremony I feel like first looks take away from ‘wow’ factor, but that’s just our thinking.

I loved our first look. For me, getting the photos done was secondary...I needed to be able to hug him and see his reaction up close. I got to twirl in my dress like a princess and find out what he thought in that moment. I still fought back tears when i started down the aisle, and so did he...but I didn't even realize that until I saw the photos, I was so focused on just getting to him without crying or tripping LOL

I want one because I want the moment all to myself. I don't want everyone crying all at once because it'll be overwhelming and give me anxeity. My fiance wants one because he loves first look photos and our caterer said if we do it we can eat a meal alone in the bridal suite during part of cocktail hour before the reception.

My husband and I did not do a first look. I felt that lost that once in a lifetime special moment when walking down the aisle.

Most of the time, people do first looks if they have an extensive photo/ shots list for after the ceremony. A great idea is to have a very structured photo/ shots list for your photographer to work off of and take advantage of the time your guest are at the cocktail hour (or cocktail hour and a half lol). Then take time during the reception to sneak away and take your more intimate photos.

I can’t wait to see the look on his face when I walk down the aisle! I know first look is great for some couples and I’m all for it, but it’s not our cup of tea.
