First Look

We arent doing first looks. We will be waiting untill i walk down the aisle

We are doing a first look and I am so excited! We wanted to capture that moment and have a bit of time together before the wedding, and we also aren't having a cocktail hour so it doesn't make sense to do pictures after the wedding.

My wedding was yesterday. I loved that we did a first look. We got to spend some time together with just us and the photographer, and it was so special. It did not take away from our ceremony. I started bawling as soon as I started my walk down the aisle and basically continued throughout the whole thing lol.

I would love to do a first look, but our photographer suggested we wait until after the ceremony since our wedding starts at noon. If we did a first look our call time would be early and we want to have enough time to get ready.

Frankly, I don't care about superstition and hope we are able to catch a few glimpses of each other at least before the ceremony. Our venue is pretty small so it's likely we will.

We are not doing a first look. My FH did not want to do a first look. He wanted to be surprised when he see me walking down the aisle. I agree to that because I want to see his expressions as I walk down the aisle. I want to be surprise as well as I walk down the aisle to see him dressed up in a tux. It will be a nice surprise for the both of us.

Our First Look will be before the ceremony mainly for logistical issues but also just to get in some "us" time without the onlookers and all of the hoopla of the day.

We’re doing a first look and all taking LUX Uber’s to the wedding venue. This way it’ll be pics before - to have everything fresh looking since it’s summer and we can move from ceremony to cocktail to reception.

I am! I thought about the first look for the same reason why you are thinking about it. But cocktail hour is really for the guest, its there so the bride, groom & bridal party can take pictures.

Same... I want to get big photos done so we can enjoy ourselves and not be trying to catch everyone during reception.. we can mingle during cocktail hour

I'm really torn on this one. I can't decide which one I want to do and keep going back and forth on it. On one hand, I like the idea of a first look, having that special moment together, it just being us and no pressure. I also know that the photographer will be able to get a picture of his reaction as well as me when I come down the isle. However, I was advised to pay for additional time for my photographer if we decide to go that route and this wedding is getting more and more expensive as it is. On the other hand, I like the traditional idea of him not seeing me until I walk down the isle and not having to pay more for the photographer. So yeah, we're still undecided

Our first look is when I walk down the aisle. I just love that moment and I think it’s very special moment for the first time he sees me in my dress is to be when I walk down the aisle. I understand how it can be convenient to do a first look beforehand though!

As of right now we are not doing one. We have a lot of time to decide though. Since my BP are my sisters my plan is to do all single and bridesmaids pictures before and since my mom will be there and I am hoping my MIL I may do a first look with them and then get pictures. so that way all we have to do are couples/family pictures after the wedding that we can get done in 30 minutes since we are doing them right by our venue.

We're doing a first look - I want it to be shared with just the two of us. We are going to have the first look and read our own vows with just us and the photographer to make it more intimate. Then we're going to do WP pictures there. After that, we'll have the ceremony and be able to join guests as soon as possible!

I'm sure the first time your FH sees you will be special whether it's for a photo or @ the altar. I'm personally waiting for him to see me walk down the aisle. I want the last time he sees me as his fiancee, and the first time he sees me in the dress, to be when I'm walking to him to become his wife. I guess it's traditional, but it just makes the most sense to me. I always felt like a "first look" is for the father not the groom. But like I said, I'm sure it will be special no matter when it happens.

I wanted to do a first look, but FH doesn't want to. He doesn't want to see me until I walk down the aisle.

We are doing a first look, honestly I'm so excited about being able to do it. I think it will give us time together that after the ceremony, we won't get.

Definitely go with what you both feel is best though.
