First look?

I did one! We wanted to do photos before the ceremony so it was good for our schedule logistically

We have decided not to do one... but this is a totally personal choice! It does make sense logistically, to allow more time for photos, but we want that special moment of him seeing me the first time in my dress as I walk down the aisle!

I'm adamantly opposed.
But like for myself.
I'm not going to shun anyone who does it.

I was on the fence to, so I asked FH what he thought and he said he didn't want to do a first look. He said that he believes the first time he should see me is at the end of the aisle It was cute how he said it, so sticking with this tradition

My FH and I weren't super keen on doing one, but our ceremony is at 5:30pm in November so by the time we start taking pictures it will be dark. Because of this, we decided we're going to do a first look! The good thing is I've only heard great things about them from couples who have done them in the past.

We are doing one!! I want to get a few moments before the ceremony with my FH. I want that private time, just the 2 of us. Plus I want to get a lot of our bridal party photos out of the way so we can enjoy cocktail hour!

We have decided to do one and I am very excited about it. I feel like the photos and video will be great and it also gives us a few special moments to spend together before all of the craziness starts. It will also help move photos along during the cocktail hour since we will already have a lot done beforehand.

If you decide not to do one but still want a special moment before the ceremony you can always do something where you can't actually see each other. For example standing around the corner from one another, standing on opposite sides of a door, blindfold him...etc.

That's actually a really good idea!

It's not for everyone. You'll get very mixed responses here, that's for sure! But you have to do what you feel is best for you, your timeline and what you both want to do.

However! We did one - and it was honestly the best thing we could have done. It saved time, cut down on anxiety, made for some of our favorite pictures, and gave us a really special moment WITHOUT taking away from the nerves, jitters and "first moment of the walk down the aisle" tears. It was our favorite part of the day.

I was on the fence about it. I can see the pros and cons of each side. This is such a personal decision. FH actually had a strong opinion about not doing one, so that's what we'll do!

Not a fan. We won't be doing one. I don't want to take that moment from him, where the first time he sees me i'm walking up the aisle to him. That's what he wants too. He hates the first look trend even more than I do. If it works for you or another bride though that's what matters.

I discussed having one with FH, but he wanted the surprise of seeing me the first time walking down the aisle!

I get the point of them, so does my FH, we just aren't fans. I wouldn't tell another bride not to do it if that's what she really wants We just want that moment of locking eyes as I walk to him

We are doing a first look! It fit the timeline of the whole day better and i didn’t want to have to do a big cocktail hour and have guests waiting on us. I really love that it gives us a little time together before the wedding to just be with each other and enjoy the day!

Fiance specifically requested one and I always wanted to do one too! I'm so excited for it. It'll probably be one of the few moments we have all to ourselves that day and will be so intimate and romantic, and also make the timeline of the day so much better.

I am not doing a first look with my husband, but I am doing one with my dad before heading to the ceremony site. He's the only parent I have and I wanted to do something special, just him and I prior to the ceremony. Personally, I hate bride / groom first looks. I want him to cry when he sees me walking down the aisle, and I want everyone to see it, to see his love for me in that very first moment.
