Fixing a bruised Nail

Emly, on August 6, 2019 at 9:56 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 9

Has anyone had any experience bringing a bruise up out of a nail?? I am the worlds most clumsy person and was using an industrial stapler on a project last night and accidentally got my finger caught in it Smiley xd . On my ring wearing hand to boot! I have engagement pictures this weekend and would like some of those cute pictures with my hand on show but not with this ugly bruised up nail LOL! I cannot wear nail polish so that is not an option so I was curious if any of you ladies have any remedies of how to reduce the bruise or help it heal faster??

Are nail wraps out of the question? I honestly don't think there's anything you can do in the next few days to reduce the bruising, so I think covering up might be your only bet. =/

Sara's idea for nail wraps is a good idea! Or the stick on nails would work. I don't think there is anything that will make a bruise go away that quickly

Great idea, Thanks! I might have to look into it. My finger is SOOO tender right now any pressure at all hurts so bad so I hope the pain goes away so I would be able to stick it on Smiley xd

I’ve had a bruised toenail for almost a year from when a drunk person dropped a metal chair on my foot at our welcome party 🙈 unfortunately I think it’s one of those things that just has to grow out.

It’s still not back to normal and this happened last October! Definitely bigger problems but it’s frustrating.

There’s nothing you can do but wait for it to grow out. You can try taking some vitamins to help your nails grow faster, but that’s about it. But if it’s the entire nail that’s bruised and it hurts real bad, you might need the blood drained from behind the nail so it doesn’t fall off (the nail, not your finger). Maybe you can just put nail polish on for the day? You didn’t say why you can’t wear it, but if that’s an option you might want to think about it.

You just have to wait for it to grow out. Maybe ask if your photographer can edit the photos that show the bruising.

I slammed mine in a door really bad and it hurt like h e double hockey sticks. I had to burn a hole in the nail to let the blood drain out. It felt immediately better. If you don’t want to DIY it, you can always go the the Dr and they can drain it for you.
