Flakey Hairstylist

Lindsay, on August 24, 2019 at 7:51 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 11
My hairstylist decided to be out of town the day of my wedding and tried to pawn me off on her friend who literally owns a kidzcutz. I’m not about to have my hair styled in a race car barbershop chair and my wedding is in a month. Any ideas to quickly find a cheap alternative? I’ve been searching Instagram but no luck. HELP!

What city are you in? Also, did you sign a contract with the stylist?

I’m so sorry! That’s a really tough position to be in. I would maybe suggest looking on Thumbtack. That website usually has really good freelancers!

There is a travel salon a friend of mine uses. She's really good! I don't know if she does bridal updos, but if you're interested this is her website. https://www.laurenandcosalon.com/

Today I went in for my final haircut before the wedding, she finished it and then checked her planner and when she opened it I saw she had my date completely crossed off and my apt was put under oct 19th. She then blew me off and said she would get a friend of hers to do it. When I googled her name it was literally a kids salon. Can’t get over this girls unprofessionalism and carelessness Smiley sad

I would call around to all of your local salons and message the c**p out of all wedding wire hair vendors local to you. The same thing happened with my hairstylist...she’s selling her business and still is acting like she’s going to style my hair and has since become unresponsive. Ya no. I think I’ll find a contacted professional. I’m so sorry you are in this situation. I would say shoot for a contract first and then if you have no luck call around to local salons.

Company is owned by an old work friend of mine, I’m using her for my wedding! (She is located in CT, does hair and makeup if you’re interested in makeup too) Her pricing is listed on her website so you can see your options and if you’re interested! She’s great and she will do a trial run!
