Flanders, Ocean City nj

Gina, on July 18, 2019 at 2:10 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 5

Sorry if this is too specific, not sure where to post. Our top venue is the Flanders in Ocean City NJ, however we can only afford the holiday weekend rate they are offering us. It is such a big shore destination with the boardwalk, I am concerned it will be too crowded 1) to get good boardwalk photos, 2)hotels- for guests to stay over. My question is- has anyone gotten married here during a holiday weekend?

Fellow Jersey shore bride here. While I’m more central (Point Pleasant) I know how crowded the boardwalk can get. What weekend are you looking at? Do you have a lot of out of town guests? And how close to the boardwalk is it? These are the things I would consider as flights would be higher and traffic will be busier, but not an issue if having a shuttle.

Hi! We would have out of town guests, but non flying in, just driving distance. I am calling all the local hotels to see if they have a 2 night minimum- it's Labor Day weekend. I'm thinking the Sunday would be better than the Friday? The hotel/ venue is right on the Boardwalk.

I have done family vacations in OCNJ since I was a baby!! I think it will be much quieter there in September and the hotel rates should have dropped significantly.

Hi there - I’m in PA, but have been to the Jersey beaches including OCNJ many times. It gets packed on the weekends, especially holiday weekends, but Labor Day Sunday starts to die down as a lot of shoobies head back to get a jump on kids going back to school.
