Flight is booked, but want to change name before honeymoon

I would wait. You can still refer to your self as Mrs.___ and no one will know the difference.

I called Delta because I bought a plane ticket to go my friend's DW on Maui at the end of October - they said as long as I brought my certified copy of my marriage certificate they'd just change the name on the ticket at the airport, so that's my plan. But that's months away.

Just wait til after the honeymoon to change your name. You won't be any less married.

When you get a new license (at least here in NH) they take your old one and cut it up ..you're better off using your maiden name unless you aren't honey mooning for a while...you can't change anything without your marriage certificate which can take a couple weeks to get

If you bought the ticket in your maiden name, leave it be. If you bought it in your married name, call the airline.

I would wait. You have to wait up to a few weeks to get the marriage license after you get married. Then once you file for the name change with social security, it can take up to two weeks to get the new social security card. That's the step in currently up to. Once I get the new card, then I can get a new license and start changing everything else.
