"Floating Orchid" DIY Centerpieces?

Maui K, on August 29, 2016 at 6:46 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

I am thinking about trying to DIY something similar to the photo below.

Dollar tree has a 9 inch vase and a 7 inch vase, both 3.25 inches in diameter. Do you think those would be a little too narrow for a centerpiece at an 8-person table?

Konner would the two vases be the only thing on your centerpiece? I think the diameter might be a little too narrow but it really depends on any other things you may have around it such as tea lights, flowers, greenery etc.

If they are the only thing, i would say a little bigger. But if theres other decor on the table then they could work.

One stem of orchids per vase. The pic, IMO, shows too many blooms. The flowers are crushed and no light gets between the blooms.

But to answer the question you asked Smiley smile ... no that diameter is not too narrow IMO if in a grouping of 3 or more.

I'm doing the same but higher and not as narrow Vessels. I'm putting two sets on each side along with a mirror charger underneath. I'm also doing heart shaped confetti with my theme Colors around the table.

Thank you all! I think I'll buy some ahead of time and experiment with how many to use, what else to go with it, etc. Smiley smile
