Floral Arches: Overrated or Underrated?

Underrated. They’re super pretty and you can use fake flowers to save money. I found some inexpensive options on amazon and I can’t wait to get one.

Underrated! I love floral arches! Like some said I would not spend a bunch of money on it, but for a low price I definitely would. We are having a wooden arch with flowers on it. We are renting greenery from the same rental company that we getting the arch from and then have some fake flowers to go in it and it didn’t cost that much.

Appropriately rated as I feel it can be modified so be to be completely understated or over the top to keep it feeling fresh

Depends on your theme, style, location, and wedding venue. Our ceremony and reception will be indoors and it doesn't make sense for us to have a floral arch.

I think it’s overrated sometimes because people can take it too far. Since we will get married outside in a garden that has an arch, we may decorate the arch a little bit but I don’t think with flowers all over.

Under rated - I'm doing one and I LOVE the idea. I'm also doing a butterfly release for my brother (he was killed, and he was supposed to be my man-of-honor - I refused to give someone else his spot in my bridal party). I'm hoping the butterflies decide to hang out on the floral arch during the ceremony so I have the "visual" of his presence on wedding day.

I think they're fine as they are! Totally depends on the venue or setting. I do wish they reflected the couple a bit more though and always love to see a couples take on it for a more personal twist.

We opted for a suspended palette where we used as a multi functional focal point that was above the food stations, above us during our ceremony, and above everyone during the dance party.

Overrated AND overpriced. They can also be finicky and fragile. We used an alternative... We bought large boards and painted them in really cool mid century designs using free hand and stencils. We made them so that we could get exactly what we wanted. A friend of mine also used large boards and covered them with different types of wallpaper. It was really cool and very much them! Creating your own backdrop takes times and effort, but it can save a lot of money and can allow you to have the backdrop that fits your personality!

Agreed! We're doing just a few touches of floral and mainly greenery on the pergola at our venue. Nothing over the top, but I think it will look too plain without some sort of decorative swag.

Overrated- I think people are starting to become #woke to the floral industry ripping people off on their wedding days- 9 times out of 10, anything floral is gonna be more expensive!

Underrated! So beautiful.

Overrated. You can make a beautiful arch out of anything, and spending money on real flowers for an arch you barely spend time with seems like a waste. I'm doing sheer curtains and maybe some paper flowers down from the entrance of this old cabin/pavilion we're getting married under.

Overrated. We will have a triangle arch but no flowers on it. Pretty wooden, rustic look. We dont really need that but its pretty.
