Floral Centerpieces- Tall and Low/Pictures/Prices

Miranda, on March 19, 2015 at 4:37 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hi Ya'll!

I met with one florist and am meeting with another this weekend, so I am trying to figure out what will work within my budget! I am quite un-knowledgable on the topic of flowers Smiley smile I plan to do some tall ones and some low ones.

Please post pictures of your centerpieces and the cost!

I will provide some pictures of my vision Smiley smile But I'd love to see what everyone else is doing/has done!

Here are some photos of my inspiration, for both the high and low options. I am thinking that the branches might help the centerpieces look more dramatic- that way, I can use less flowers and then they'd hopefully be less expensive. Has anyone done anything/planning to do anything like this?!

I'm having a very casual bbq reception which is more like a party one month after we have a tiny ceremony. So our centerpieces are not relevant to this thread. However, I used to be a florist and miss creating beautiful pieces (which is why I jump all over centerpiece or flower threads). Here's a few that I have made in the past:

Tall ones like these would typically range from about $135-185 depending on what flowers were used as well as exactly how grand you wanted them.

Shorter ones would average $50-70 if in a vase or $65-85 if it was a larger mound (in a dish w/ foam as opposed to a vase)

or you could cluster some together, which would usually be about $70. (Another option would be to submerge flowers in the cluster of 3 vases instead of having 3 small arrangements. Depending on the flowers, we charge about $35-45 for that)

I got a quote for $70 for tall arrangements. Garden roses and stock.

I'm also doing a mix of tall and low centerpieces!! I am having 7 tall and 8 short centerpieces.

    Tall:

    24" x 4" pilsner vase

4-5 ivory hydrangea, 7-8 blue hydrangea, 11-12 ivory roses, and baby's breath

$138.50/ea (we are buying the vases)

    Short:

2 pale blue hydrangea, 2 ivory hydrangea, 7-8 light blue delphinium blossoms and baby's breath. $45/ea

We are repurposing our 8 BM bouquets as our short centerpieces to save about $400!

The pictures I added are my inspiration pics!
