Floral Costs for a wedding

ww2018, on April 17, 2017 at 5:42 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

Does anyone know what the average floral costs would be for an average wedding in the Southern California area (Los Angeles)? Is a labor fee normal? I know they charge a delivery fee. I just received a quote from a florist, and I think her prices are reasonable, but I'm not completely sure since I'm not a florist. (Receiving Peonies, Roses, Dahlias) Cost breakdown from this florist I just got a quote from: $200 Bridal Bouquet, $0 Toss Bouquet, $60 Per bridesmaid bouquet, $10 - Groom Boutonniere, $8 - Per groomsmen & Fathers boutonnieres, $6 - Per grandfathers boutonniere, $25 - per mothers corsage, $80 - per centerpieces, $500 for floral arch decorations, $0 for Sweetheart Table she'll reuse from Arch flowers, $30 - Per aisle markers arrangements, $150 - Flower petals down the aisle walkway (scattered, or designed), $100 - Cake & Cake Table getting cascading flowers on cake , $75 - Delivery Fee, $760 - Labor Fee

I'm on the East Coast but your delivery fee seems excessive, however it can vary based on how many deliveries and how far away. I met with my third and final florist today and it was mentioned again that Dahlias are super fragile and die so easy. They won't last the day. If you're heart isn't set on them I would think of a similar flower. All your other prices seem pretty spot on.

The labor fee seems high at first glance, but seeing as they will be doing a lot of ceremony set up and break down and then moving those flowers to the reception? The number makes more sense.

I paid $1,500 for ALL our flowers in Shanghai:

Fireplace, ceremony flowers, candles and decor $583

Guests centerpieces with floral arrangements, candles and table numbers $306

small floral arrangements for reception table $72

    4 GM boutonnieres, 5 BM bouquets, 2 parents corsages, 1 G boutonniere & 1 Bridal bouquet $554

Tip and delivery included in the cost already Smiley smile

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Though I'm doing artificial flowers so I can't say much about comparable prices in my area.

Thank you everyone who responded! I live in LA and California/NY have the highest wedding costs. But she doesn't charge for a set up breakdown/fee and I think she's coming from Orange County to Ventura County so that's a far drive, and I don't think she's charging a travel fee, just a delivery fee of $75.

I got a quote for about 800.00 (not including a 100 moving fee for ceremony flower piece to be moved to sweetheart table) one for 960.00 and waiting for a couple more. I'm in the Inland Empire, I think that is pretty fair for that area especially. Good luck!

I'm having about 150 people possibly more, so roughly 15 tables, if not more depending on how many RSVPs we get, so that's a lot of centerpieces, and I'm also having candles on the centerpieces. If it was a smaller wedding maybe it might be cheaper.

I spent about 10% of my budget on flowers, including delivery. Your prices seem reasonable!
