Where in Florida are you looking? I spent a ton of time looking at venues. The ones that seem to be in that price range are mostly rustic barn venues or parks/botanical gardens so maybe look at those. I think you are going to have a hard time keeping catering for 150 people in that budget unless you just do apps and dessert. Most caterers I looked at were $50+ per person for a plated or buffet meal, plus tips, service charges, etc. Can you reduce your guest list at all? We started out with the expectation of 150 guests but really ended up with 120 on the list, so I expect that our final count will be around 100. Also look at Fridays and Sundays, as most venues are cheaper.
